Well its been rumoured on websites that Joe Mesi might be the next opponent.

He was 'rumoured' to be close to fighting Klitschko in his return.

Rumoured as in, never going to.

Mesi would annihilate him.

Has Minto got a terminal illness? Are they waiting for it to get the better of him, hence the open schedule? After all, at the time of writing, Minto had a pulse, so probably not a good match for Greenberg at the moment.

I'm trying to think of a comparable fighter from the past, hyped but moved painstakingly slowly.

The big fella who fought Bowe, eventually, Gonzales?

Is anyone else on boxrec up for a whip round for David Haye to fight him in his heavyweight debut!

Haye has already fought at HW - TKO1 Bonin

In Boxing News ahile back Jim Evans said they had refused the Klitschko fight even though it was good money because "you never take the first offer". Take what you like from that.

I ment start of his seriouse campaigning at HW you know when he isn't still trying to keep his weight down and stuff. I think the greenburg fight would be a good one at that point :-)

He didn't have very good opposition but a) even an old Snipes was better than anything Greenberg has faced, and b) Gonzalez got the Bowe match in something like his 18th fight.

With the types of men he is going in with Greenberg could go 100 - 0

But who cares, no one is interetsted in him. He had talent but it evaporated long ago.

Lets talk about Alexander Povetkin, thats a real prospect.

Yes Povetkin is a true prospect, but we do seem to like our weekly Greenberg thread on here, also the Herbie Hide Bi-weekly thread as well.

Well something has to replace the annual Hamed return thread, the monthly Harrison pissed up thread and the daily Alex Arthur has changed trainer threads.

As for Povetkin, he looks a capable kid. Byrd will be a hell of a test.

What about the 'Audley could be world champ' thread and the 'Joe slaps rather than punches' thread?

by DavidPayne
And of course Spud's bi-monthly "I'm off" thread.

i was sparring with colin last night and i would love to tell you how he is but in the words of southpaw 1............what happens in the gym stays in the gym

no he is alright he has sparred roman numerous times and i dont think he really likes him just as he never liked llewellyn and he done a job on him (totally different proposition i know) but he seems up for it and he is better/ bigger than his record and his physique looks his a big ox of a bloke and i just hope he gets stuck into him from the first bell cos thats his best/only chance i feel
Yeah I remember him telling us how he didn't like Roman when he was sparring with Skelton years ago. I really hope the old Colin from 2/3 years ago appears and tests Roman. If you go, please post your thoughts of the fight on here, as we can't make it. I suspect it'll be more accurate than the Echo's!! :TU:
