Frazier-Holyfield? I'd love to do the commentary on that one.
The bell sounds to start round one. OH! There's a big clash of heads. Frazier lands a left hook and there's ANOTHER clash of heads. Holyfield working the clinch and there heads come together again. Referee Richard Steele separates the two.

Frazier lands a hook. Holyfield lands an overhand right followed by an overhand left elbow. I think there was a headbutt or two in there. Richard Steele ALREADY has sweaty underarms.

Boxerbob made a good point with Buchanan-Hatton, that would be exciting & yet, I'm sure no one has ever mentioned that one that I've seen in a thread like this.
As for myself, I could go all day here (as I suspect many of us could) so I'll try to limit it to a most-desired top 5 card from Heaven...
Main Event: Joe Louis-Muhammad Ali (Once & for all)
Sonny Liston-George Foreman (Ringsiders might want to wear a mouthguard. Just watching the punches thrown here so close could knock your teeth out!)
Roberto Duran-Pernell Whitaker (A beautiful contest)
Ray Robinson-Ray Leonard (For the reasons Boxerbob outlined)
Ezzard Charles-Billy Conn (I would love to see these guys in there together)
Langford/Ketchel

These guys as you know fought a 6 rounder in Philly. There's conflicting newspaper reports of who got the better of it. They were supposed to fight a longer bout, but Ketchel was shot to death. Willis Britt never recovered mentally from this. In a longer fight, who wins? I say Langford.

It would have been a trilogy:Robinson wins,Burley wins,then a 3rd fight on the level.

This is what I mean about fighters such as Robinson & Ali's mythology exceeding their ability. "There will never be another as good as Ray Robinson, ever?"
I mean that is just preposterous. To say someone like Willie Pep isn't even in Robinson's league is equally absurd. Just how far do people envision Robinson being ahead of every other champion who ever drew breath?
In my view, Robinson is the best pound-for-pound fighter. But there is far too little discussion surrounding this topic. It's just one of those things that becomes accepted beyond reproach over the years.

Id like to see Bummy Davis vs. Lew Jenkins at a catchweight.
That'd be a war.
Mickey Walker vs Jake Lamotta would be good stuff also.

Both great fighters but this would be a stinker. I mean would either of them throw a punch?

I agree with you in ALMOST everything you have said...The ONLY thing that I do not agree is that he was the best pound per pound...Henry Armstrong does it for me and many people.
