I'm not sure if I shared this with you before. Anyway, this happened in training camp in the Poconos. Williams felt that Lennox was holding him too much so decided to teach him a lesson

I bet Lewis was happy as hell when Peter creamed William's ass 3 years ago.

Highlight quotes from Jeremy as a cornerman on the Contender:
"Do it for your race!!!"
"Do it for your family!!! The people sitting right there!!!"
"It's 2-2, so you need this round!!!"

Williams was being ridiculous. It wasn't about what HE wanted. He was paid to spar to ready Lewis for his fight. You don't take liberties like that. Also, it's ridiculous, flipping a big man like Lennox could have caused injury and cancelled the whole fight. He was promptly fired as he should have been.

Exactly, I bet Lennox is a huge fan of Sam Peter now simply because he knocked Williams' lights out and has the clip saved to his computer.

I'm pretty sure Lennox didn't wait for Sam Peter to do it. Didn't he kick the shit out of Williams in the next and final spar?

Unprofessional et cetera, but the look (mingled rage/affront/incomprehension) on Lenny's face is fricking priceless.
Sorry, I actually thought it was quite funny; just a little bit of cheering for the underdog from the back-section.

Is this where the rumours of Lewis getting floored in sparring by Williams came from?

williams is a fool for doing this. He's a hired sparring partner, he could've caused lennox a serious injury.
Then, in reality though unlikely, Lennox would have decent grounds for suing him.
Also as for WIlliams' comments on the Contender 'do it for you race' etc whenever one of his guys faced a white guy were disgraceful.

Especially as Williams is mixed race himself.

I think it was silly of Jeremy do do this, I saw this vid up on an MMA forum awhile ago. They of course thought it was cool, just because Jeremy has MMA and judo background doesnt mean when he is frustrated that he should change the rules in his own head.
He was paid to spar Lewis for a fight. Do something like that and then having the vid posted and circulated is immature.

Wow is this interesting....
Typical redundant fightpiss material. Unfortunate that this trash is now also invading the high-quality "boxers of the past" forum unchecked.

Ashi Waza and boxing dont mix.
Looks like a somewhat modified Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi.
Also a decent Kosoto Gari.
Both Ippon, wrong sport though.
I wish I could find out more on where Williams earned his Black Belt in Judo.

According to Frank Maloneys book, Lewis gave him something of a beating because of this.
Maloney says he felt sorry for Williams and that Lennox maybe went over the top.
Shame they did'nt record that!

I've done similar dirty things in sparring. Usually because I was getting blasted or running low on fuel. I'm sure if the whole video was shown you would see Jeremy getting beat up. Behavior like that is simple when your opponent does not know that those tactics are a part of the rules. It's generally a way of looking for a way out.

They've obviously never seen Henry Akinwande pick Jeremy up from underneath his arms and flip him on his ass like a ragdoll a few feet across the ring. Pretty easy thing to do when the man being thrown around isn't expecting to be thrown around.

Ive only seen one instance of a guy doing something worse than this sparring.
A few weeks after Louie Mateo was involved in a fight with Pedro Acosta in which both he and Acosta were Dqd for brawling after the bell and the corners started swapping punches, he was sparring with Johnny Lira and Lira stepped back out of a clinch and said next timewatch out for this and kneed Mateo in the stones.
Needless to say it took a while to break that one up.
