Hatton's Sparring: How does it Work?

After watching that video with Hatton lifting the 500kg, I heard him talking about starting sparring.

It's long been known that one advantage North American fighters have is the high quality and often fiercly competitive sparring they have. Mayweather will be able to draw on, should he be inclined, all sorts of stocky, strong, game sparring partners with which to train his skills and hone his game plan for fighting Hatton.

Wouldn't it be nice to think Hatton would spar against the likes of Derrik Gainer or Demarcus Corely?

Does anyone think for a fight like this, normal sparring routines should be ramped up? Does anyone have any sort of inside info as to who Hatton will spar and how much? Does anyone think this could be a factor?

Hatton spoke about this on sky recently - he is bringin in 4 sparring partners from the States recommended by Oscar De La Hoya - apparently they were the same fighters DLH used to prepare for Floyd, you can't say fairer then that!

That's very, very reassuring. I do hope the quality of sparring's good, because it will be a vital part of training for this fight.

But I'll be the first to admit I know little about training and sparring and how it all works. I just imagine, and know from second hand knowledge, that it'll be vital.

Who did Oscar spar against, then?

I doubt Hatton will have DLH's main sparring partner Shane Mosley though.

Shame, as Hatton would have been good for Mosley's preparations for Cotto!

Yes, but Hatton has enough problemsfacing Mayweather as it is without entering the ring punch drunk after 50 rounds beng battered by Mosley.
