Could Joe beat Audley?

Inspired by the nonsense on Current Scene (aka Darwin's waiting room) about Joe winning a title at Heavy, could he outpoint Audley?

Clearly he wouldn't want to bother, as beating Rick Thornberry probably carried more kudos, but given he can take a good shot and has cracking handspeed and work rate, could he pull off a UD?

:-?

If it ever came off which has zero chance of happening imagine how many pullouts/delays we'd have to endure before they got it on?

I actually would have loved to have seen Calzaghe vs Toney had James got the world title... around the time of just after Lacy. Would have been ideal.

Now that would have been something to achieve Super star status.. and I actually thought it was winnable.

I'm not sure that Joe would pull this off... not that it would ever happen!

Good as he is Joe doesn't have the defensive genius of a prime Roy Jones, and Audley is more of a puncher (and albeit better boxer) than John Ruiz
If Joe gets tagged he's out. And Joe has taken a few shots in recent fights

I don't think Joe would beat him, but I think Spiderman would. A Womble would more than likely get KO'd in the second round.

Spiderman wouldn't have a chance under Queensbury rules: (i) you aren't allowed headguards or body clothing in the pros, so the spidersuit would need to go (ii) the boxinf gloves would cover his web shooting wrists and (iii) spider serum is a banned substance (unless taken by Roy Jones) so he'd fail the drug test.

with his hands he can't hit hard enough to gain the respect of fighters at heavyweight.

He still has his spidey sense to dodge the punches.

Joe's handspeed and workrate would not be what it is at heavy, his movement would also be effected and his hands wouldn't be able to take it. There is a reason why he is a super middle

Why Audley?!

He'd beat most heavies with his speed but we'll leave that to David Haye...

Aud is not even worth discussing anymore.

I think heavies with a bit of handspeed and good power - like Audley Harrison and Danny Williams - would spark Joe. Hes not a defensive whizzkid like Roy Jones, nor has he got the kind of physical frame that would allow him to go further than light heavy, hes a big middleweight really

Can Joe beat Hulk Hogan?

JC would stand zero chance against Harrison.

I know Harrison is a spineless wimp, but he is simply too big for JC.

JC's speed would not be enough of an advantage against such a huge man, who although not blessed with any stamina, I doubt Audley would end up expending too much energy & he can box pretty well when he actually isn't too frightened to throw punches.

Audley would KO JC.
