I've got an ongoing 4 fight accumulator (only a couple of quid) Pavlik/Calzaghe/Haye/Mosley but I'm not as confident of a Mosley win as I was when I put the bet on. Mosleys still been looking excellent in recent times, but Cottos a class act and he hasn't got to take off that extra 7lbs as well which has got to help him. I reckon its a 50-50, how do you see this one going?
(In the poll I've stuck with my bet and gone for Mosley Pts)

Gone with Mosley KO, but this could be close as Cotto is chinny, but with awesome power, and Mosley also has speed and power, but has been inactive for over a year and is getting old.

I go with Mosley by decision -- the old cat has too many tricks in the bag for youngster Cotto.

Mosely seems to be using spoiling tactics more so these days and to beat someone like Cotto, at this stage of Shane's career, this is what he'll have to resort to again.
Hopefully Cotto won't let Mosley get away with this and wins on points and continues to confirm what a genuine superstar he is.

Cotto may get shaken but Mosley - as classy as he is - is fighting on fumes a bit. Cotto's methodical, heavy hooks to body and head will grind out this win.
Mosley's had some bad years before the Vargas fight. Cotto will show him even worse.
Barrera fought Pac, Mosley risking his neck vs Cotto...All we need now is Hopkins-Calzaghe to get serious and we are going to see old economical conservative men sent packing from that ring...for good!

I think it's either Mosley by early stoppage or Cotto by late stoppage!! Either way I can't see this one going the full 12!!

I think Cotto is the one who will get shown up. He's slow and easy to hit. His style will also bring the best out in Mosley, because he'll force Mosley to let his hands go. Mosley's speed and power boxing is gonna kill Cotto. Mosley by knockout.

I'm a fan of both fighters. The Mosley who beat DLH in their first fight would undoubtedly win. That was over seven years ago, though, and the current version of Mosley has lost a step or two. In fact, I don't think he's been the same since the first loss to Forrest. That was some beating he took. It would have been better for him if that fight had been stopped early. He is still a good fighter, though, but not good enough to beat Cotto who is just entering his prime and looking formidable. Cotto on points.

excellent spread of predictions, we're really being treated to some great fights this year
i'll go with Cotto just to be a bit hungrier than Mosley, will be close though if it goes the distance (which I think it will) but i'll take Cotto to nick it. Their styles should match up well

is it me, or did cotto transform from a slick, classy, talented fighter into a tough but straigtforward pressure fighter in his fight vs judah? i couldn't believe the difference between that guy and the guy who fought randall bailey and previous.

Start is critical to the fight, as I have said before. Mosley is a rhytmical fighter - he aint lost a fight that he had a good start in and has hardly looked close to losing. On the flip side, he aint won a fight in which he had a bad start in either (and I don't care what the judges said regarding the DLH rematch - Mosley's face said it all).
If Mosley gets into his rhythm, he wins. I still believe he has the stamina and chin to survive the strength of Cotto. If Mosley cannot get into his rhythm (or if Cotto prevents it) - then he loses, probably via a wide decision.
Possibly the fight I am most looking forward to this Autumn / Winter. Lets hope the winner of this - fights the winner of the December fight.

Mosely pulls of the late stoppage here. He has too much expereince equal if not better strength, a proven chin, better hand speed.
I really believe he can pull this off and win in style somewhere around the 10th.

can Moseley really win this? he seems to have been going for ages.
anyone know what time the replay is on Setanta on Sunday I don't follow either boxer enough to still be up at half 4 in the morning. It'll be just as good next day not knowing the result.
Great news about getting the Haye fight on top of it tho.

I'm going for Mosely on points - I didnt see the Judah fight but I consider Mosely a lot more durable than Judah and if it took Cotto 11rnds to deal with Judah in theory he'll have trouble stopping Mosely. But as we aal know in boxing theory can go out the window!
