setanta need to show fights live not 4 rounds behind, fight just finished now.

I actually scored it to Mosley 115-114.

I thought Cotto was a machine in the first half of the fight but went to sleep a bit in the second and let Mosley steal it but it seems no one on the box agreed with me, nor the judges.

Clear, but close win for Cotto. Quite a lot of swelling to Shane's cheekbones. Good - but not quite great - fight.

Brilliant fight. Mosley's my favourite boxer of not just his weight, but this entire generation. Classy guy.

Huge respect to Cotto. I think he could actually beat Mayweather, and perhaps take out Hatton. I hope Shane does retire now. It was quite tragic to see McCallum against Jones. Mike was pure gold on his night. Money I guess. That's what brought Herol back.

Edit: despite my partiality, I think Miguel just nicked it. One point up.

I had it 115-113 to Mosley but it was close so I can't complain too much about Cotto getting the nod. Not sure what fight the commentators were watching, they seemed to think Cotto not being on wobbly legs after taking BIG power shots was some kind of scoring point. Then again they couldnt score the Cassamoya fight to save their lives either.

Cotto did seem to get every benefit - the ref protecting him in 2 fights in a row and the benefit of the doubt in a close fight, nothing like having an Uncle Bob.

Mosley looked old in there and was gassed after the first suprisingly.

I do think that Mosley lost some zip when he stopped doing the 'roids...... his body looked totally differnet, his legs like twiglets and his speed was reduced.

BTW am I the only one who thinks Cotto is so open to uppercuts???

Cotto won but I was disappointed in both. Put 2 big names in NY and it's an effing epic, isn't it?

Cotto gassing at the end, turning away at times. Mosley hugging for dear life over the first 8 rounds. Not enough sustained action or strong finish to be a really good battle.

Sorry but Cotto's not going to be legendary outside NY and Puerto Rico. I hope/think Margarito rips him a new one. Margo's stronge,r more durable and has better stamina.

No way Margarito beats Cotto, he's far too predictable.

Last nights fight was never going to be a classic once Mosley realised he couldn't hurt Cotto. You could see the discouraged look as early as round 2.

Credit to Shane for hanging in there though, it looked like a painfully long road for him at the end of the 5th but he stuck it out and finished well.

I also thought that they scored TOO much on just the last 30 seconds of a round. There were a couple of rounds in that fight where Cotto seemed to be taking a breather and Mosley was the busier for 2:30 minutes. Then in the last 10 seconds Cotto would let off a flurry where maybe 2 would land and Mosley would answer back and maybe land one in return, those rounds they scored to Cotto just on those last second flurries it seems.

I think there needs to be a clear, universal guide on how to score a fight because a lot of people seem to score on just random things these days. Not saying the result was wrong, just that I find the justification of the scoring on a couple of rounds pretty weak.

Who were the commentators for the fight? They were terrible. They gave Mosley no credit whatsoever for anything he did. When Mosley got caught they went on as if he was out on his feet, yet when he hit and sometimes hurt Cotto it was lucky, or it was because Cotto was havin a rest, or because he knew he was miles ahead on the cards etc.

For the record i had Mosley winning by 1 round but there were so many close rounds i wouldnt argue with any of the judges scores.

I had Cotto up by 3 points at the end. Decent fight.

yeah, decent, but nowhere near classic. cotto's going down next year. i'd like to see him vs Cintron.

Yeah, I had that a draw with Mosley taking the last 3 rounds, the commentators were so annoying but I wont say anything further as it has been adressed!!

Excellent fight, and great atmosphere in the Garden.

I had in 7-5 to Sugar Shane, but three of the rounds that I gave to him were very close so no complaints about the scoring.

The Casamayor decision was a shocker though. I stopped scoring after 9 as it was so one sided. No idea what the judges were watching.

Pocket your list of "special" fighters must be pretty short.

I'd give Cintron a punchers chance against anyone although Cotto would have to be a firm favourite. That only leaves Mayweather IMO.

I don't think Cotto's speial either.

JUst watched the fight.

I gave Mosley 3 rounds.

I had Cotto the comfortable winner, 117 - 111.

Thought the commentary was a bit off the mark, I mean why were they so constantly amazed that Cotto could take Mosley's punches?

Mosley hasn't knocked out anyone in 7 years, apart from Vargas who my Gran could knockout these days. And Cotto only gets shaken up by serious knockout punchers, which Shane has never been.

Cotto looked excellent IMO. The main surprise for me was how solid his chin looked compared to when he was at 140, the extra 7lbs seem to suit him well.

Hopefully the winner of HATTON-Mayweather gets Cotto next, my mouths watering at the prospect

cotto s not special...! mosley(a special boxer himself) is the only guy thats finished a fight with cotto more or less intact.for a fighter with no chin or speed cotto has just fought two of the fastest and biggest punching fighters and come through quite comfortably.what has cotto got to do to get some praise on here?

This is what made me predict Cotto, the fact that Shane has not come close to knocking anyone out in quite some time, and the fact that Cotto has a very consistent workrate.

I was sure Cotto would win this, and glad I followed my instincts twice now, with Cotto and Calzaghe.

I'm going to trust my instincts and go with Hatton on points as well.
