I only ask because for the third time I've watched him he has taken a Big punch, and hasnt even looked like falling. (Reid right hander)

Hes also getting very big around the shoulders, def a world champion in the making.
Although this will slow up his punches soon I guess.

Has he been down as an amateur?

BTW I loved the way Reid tried to intimide him.

No he's never been down as Amateur or Pro

I don't think it was as big as it looked as Froch was turning away luckily for him.

I think you are possibly right but he wont clean up and dominate the division as Calzaghe did - Kessler on the other hand probably will - As good as Froch is, he is not as good as his own opinion of himself - He has yet got to step in the ring with a current, true world class fighter - He has proved he is above domestic level but still has to prove he is Euro and World class yet - Fighters who have been down and got up to win are to be admired - Could Froch do that, or would it dent his supreme confidence and self belief we dont know until it happens - He certainly lost his confidence for a few moments the other night and thats something you dont usually see with him - I dont listen to the hype from boxers or their fans, its what I see for myself that I rely on - Yes Froch may have a belt this time next year but he could easily have his first loss - His style is not a world beater and I see him getting caught - Having a good chin and a big power shot have got him this far but you cant stand in front of Kessler with your left hung low and expect to get away with it.

There are more than JC and Kessler whom would be able to give him a proper fight. A forward step for Froch would be to fight any of Mundine, Bute, Lacy, Andrade, Green, or even Bika. In fact, Bika would be the best fight for him at this point if he's looking for recognition in the US. If Kessler stays at super-middle I suppose his options are winner of Taylor-Pavlik (assuming Calzaghe moves up), a rematch with Mundine or Bute/Froch.

Froch to fight Bika is a great call, he's got plenty of US air-time and Calzaghe looked shit against him. Bika may be in high demand now though

Its not something I recall

Admits Charles Adamu was his hardest ever fight. I had a fortune on him to win that one at 2/5 and was bricking it early on. Don't think he took a count tho.

No, it wasn't the Adamu fight I can remember when Froch was badly stung - time to look at some of my old vids. Might have been Odin - think the opponent was black.

You must be referring to the fight against Vage Kocharyan, which was Carl's comeback after a 6 month layoff and was before his English title fight. I remember watching it actually, and in the last round Carl got hit with a MASSIVE right hand that snapped his head sideways. It would have put many pros down but Froch regrouped to finish the fight a points winner, which was quite impressive given that he never saw the punch coming. For me, it was the first real indicator that Carl's got a good chin.

That right hander wasn't that impressive, Reid's timing isn't there. He'll be hit far harder and cleaner when he steps it up.

Would like to see the Mundie fight if Mundie is still boxing not sure. There was talk about him fighting on Decembre 7th on the UK vs Mexico bill.

I really can't see Mundine being allowed to box over here, going by reports his sight in one eye is around 50%

He has never shown a lack of willingness to take dangerouse fights. Better than those fighters who talk shit but don't fight people.

You're not far off there. I was at that fight and although I never thought Froch was in any sort of trouble, he was caught flush an alarming amount of times in the early rounds.

He is probably getting caught fresh less often which is a good thing esspecialy as his quality of opponents has only increased. Look at the dodson fight for example.
