As it says on the tin....

Boxer Harrison fined for offences

Former world boxing champion Scott Harrison has been fined £500 at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he admitted disorder and possessing drugs.

Harrison, from Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire, was caught with 69 Diazepam pills when stopped by police in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street.

He also admitted threatening to assault a road worker after his car broke down.

The 30-year-old former WBO champion was fined £150 for drugs possession and £350 for breach of the peace.

He has vowed to regain his title and return to the ring by January.

So, what do people reckon his comeback weight will be and who will be a good opponent for him? I reckon he could boil to super feather still but is probably a lightweight sizewise. I'd take a few easing in fights and aim for an all Scotand showdown with Alex Arthur as a long term goal.

I know its wrong, but I can't stop myself from having abit of admiration for the boys who go off the rails when they're at the top of their game like Scott, George Best, Gazza, Tyson...etc. They have it all, but just think "fcuk it I'm out on the lash"

Is this a recent incident or something that happened a while back, if its recent then so much for his comeback!.... I very much doubt that he'll ever get it together again enough to fight again... shame, but some people just cant be helped and I think Scott is one of them...

I am in agreement here. ANd let's not forget the original man, Benny Lynch.

Johnny Tapia too.

First of a few court cases. He got off quite lightly here it seems.

Worth mentioning that Harrison's plea of not guilty to 5 other charges was accepted.

That included assaulting a man, attempting to stab a man, assaulting a woman, threatning bar staff and not paying a taxi fare of £9.40

So does that just leave the Spanish charges now?
