Nigel Wright doing better this time against Daws. Haven't been paying attention but its round 7.
Very scrappy though.

Wright determined to keep center of the ring.
1 round to go, can't tell you who is winning. Smith and McCrory seem to think Daws.

Round 1 Barker.
Good match, high tempo, no holding. Barker landed many more shots though.
Aussie not a mug, landed a few body shots but a bit out of his depth it appears.

Round 2 Barker
Crampton tentative, not landing much, getting a bit desparate. Barker has center ring and thumping constantly.

Round 3 Barker
More of the same. Some lovely shots from Barker. Crampton trying to fight back but it's in vain I feel.

Round 4 Barker
Aussie nearly went down from a body shot. Fought back bravely in spurts.

Round 5 Barker
Barker fractionally less organised. A bit of holding. Crampton still putting the odd attack together.

Round 6 Barker
More of the same. Crampton still coming forward in spurts.

Round 7 Barker
Barker still in control but having to box hard for it. Crampton just won't cave in. Legs still look strong.

Round 8 Even
Adam Smith worried that Barker could be outlasted.
Aussie toughing it out but I can't see him taking over.

Round 9 Barker
Barker does enough to take the round but Crampton looks clearly stronger now. Slight concern. Barker's gumshield came out in that round, but still throwing the quality shots.

Round 10 Barker
Better round. Won clearly although the action is scrappier now.
This is heading to a 118-110.

Round 11 Barker
Better round. Aussie needs a KO I reckon....

Round 12 Barker
987 punches thrown by Barker. Less than 400 for Crampton
Everyone is nervous about the result...

120-108
120-108
119-110
I thought Crampton would get more credit for his aggressive spells.
Good performance from Barker really, 12 fast paced rounds not much of a problem.
Salut!

Thanks Kilburn, much appreciated.
Thought Crampton would do better. Didn't think he'd win due to lack of activity, but thought the scores might be closer.
Cheers

Excellent performance by Barker. 12 rds, 1000 punches. Made up for the lack of fights this year. He went through a few rough spots but tucked up and usually had the first- and last -word, taking every rd on my card. Barker outclassed Crampton and put him in a shell immediately so from then it was a matter of punching through the ear mufflers and elbows. Darren will have learned a lot from this. These are the type of fights he needs. Major prospect who'll go on to some very big things.
