would this have been a good fight for the fans to watch? I think so... who do you see winning? I feel that Corrales would be too big for Pacman, but obviously Pacman is a great fighter in todays game.

Doubt they would have ever met at the same weight at the same time. Hypothetically, a barn burner but I think Corrales too big and too strong. Neither one would quit that's for sure!

I realise that the weight movements and size made a matchup unlikely, now Corrales is gone however we can discuss it more as a fantasy matchup... Pacman of today vs the Corrales that fought Mayweather for example

The Corrales that fought Mayweather was severely weight-drained and didn't belong at 130 anymore.

Anyway Corrales would've smashed Pacquiao, good big fighter beats good little fighter, and while Pacquiao is great, he still came up from 122 in his early 20's whereas Corrales started at 130 at similar ages and eventually fought at Welter aganst Clottey. Pacquiao has been stunned and hurt by Morales, Barrera, and Marquez at 126 and 130 who themselves have come up from 122 and less (I'm not really counting teenage years so much because of the growth factor) and Corrales at prime-130 was a destructive force, I'd expect around a 7th round KO-win for Chico.

Well aside from the Mayweather fight weaight-draining at 130 didn't really effect him negatively, plenty of fighters are able to do it for several years without consequence, but it usually catches up to them at some point, which really didn't happen to Corrales until the last couple years of his career and even then, it wasn't as detrimental as it often is for most fighters.

I don't think Corrales was weight drained, I think he had trouble with guys with lateral movement. He would follow them straight up and get caught.

As for Pacman/Corrales matchup, I'd have to favor Corrales in his prime, bigger guy, Pacman would make a fight of it though.
