Bika - Mundine

Bika is looking for big fights and has said it makes sense to make a fight with Mundine. I like Bika and I hope he does well but I'm not sure if a fight with Mundine would be his best option. I fear that Mundine's speed will be too much for him. However Bika keeps coming and he is a very tough customer so he might be able to unsettle Mundine and catch him with a few good shots which could turn the fight.

What do you guys think?

yeh i think that bika should look elsewhere, having just won the contender he could find a big fight which he could win and still make the cash..

Yeh id love nothing more than for bika to knock mundine out cold but i think that there styles just wouldnt work, mundines speed and lateral movement unsettles any physical fighter and i think bika should look for a fight with a similar style of fighter

The Contender won't let Bika fight Mundine in Australia and Mundine will not come to the USA to fight Bika.

So long as the condender gets its cut I don't see why they wouldn't let him have a big money showdown with Mundine in Australia. I also don't think the contracts the guys this series signed are the same as the ones from the first series...

credible opponent for mundine, makes sense.
would be a big fight in Australia as well

Bika would give Mundine one hell of a match. I doubt that Anthony has ever fought anyone who punches as hard as Sakio, as well as Sakio having a height advantage over Mundine.

Great fight.

i think echols & kessler hit just as hard as bika

i think mundines right hand hurts sakio as he comes in and eventually wins a lop-sided decision or a late ko

They aren't as tough/rough as Bika though, its his style that could give Mundine fits...

PS Echols was literally shot when he fought Mundine (I say this every time his name comes up).

yeh i guess bika has that "hit everything that comes into range" style and i guess mundine has never fought someone like that, at least not someone as rough as bika..
i would much prefer bika to have that belt because at least he would fight worth opponents, win lose or draw

mundine v bika wold be a great fight, i have alot of respect for bika. everyone keeps talking about how hard bika punches and everyone under estimates how hard mundine can hit. mundine is the only person to knock out soliman that has to be creddible for something. bika is now 1-1 wit soliman after beating him in the contender, but he hasnt knocked him out. tho bika has a hieght advantage and a strength advantage i still think mundine would in

yeh but the fact that A beat B by knockout and C beat B on points doesnt neccesarily mean A will Knockout C...

Its the fight game and styles make fights

Bika proved in the semi=final of The Contender that he has improved a great deal in the last five years. Granted, Mundine KOed Soliman, but it was a longer fight. Mundine did not KO Sam until the ninth round, Bika/Soliman was an eight rounder.

Mundine also has a bad habit of following a great result with a shocker. Remember Manny Siaca?

well i agree on that if the star mundine shows up he wins if the dud mundine shows up he gets intimidated and goes into his shell

it would be a good fight but mundine should win fairly easily as long as he doesnt get sucked into fighting bikas fight like calzaghe did but if he does im not 2 sure he will be able to get the same result joe did

they could maybe have it in america i think mundine could get some american exposure and with bikas fame from the contender it could be a way for him to get them biggermoney fights with pavlik.taylor. wright and co

Personally I think Mundane slaughters Bika, too quick - Calzaghe played with him - Kesslers your man no title now but a bloody good fight - Oh well thats a poms view, keep swilling the Fosters and Gooday from Waylon.

Bika would put up a much better fight than that Argentinian dud that Anthony fought last night.

Very true. But it seems that Bika might be a fall back opponent with Mundine and Green talking up another showdown...

I'm pretty sure that Mundine will be fighting in January on the Roy Jones Jr Undercard

Solomon Haumona may be on that card. He is going to the USA to be trained by Roy Jones senior.

surely fighting a Contender winner is just the fight that Mundine needs to bring him to a bigger audience. Especially if he outclasses him, which he could well do.
