This can't be true, he was comprehensively out schooled in there. Why the rematch?

I believe there was a rematch clause in the contract of their first fight.

I bet Mccintyre would be a decent price you know, don't moan - this could be easy money :D

The rematch is entirely justified. Anderson gave McIntyre the opportunity in a voluntary defence and (contract clause or not) McIntyre is returning the favour.

Nice one. Everything in boxing should be this easy :TU:

I didn't realise the whole business behind it, jsut thought the board had mandated it due to the nature of the contest or something. Can Anderson learn from his mistakes this time and get the belt back?

I never saw their first fight - though Ive seen most of anderson's fights way back to when he was a novice - did Anderson look a shadowof himself because the only times I'd seen Mcintyre he looked v.poor vs Barnes and Nigel Wright.

well pretty much.
watch the anderson fight from 7 weeks earlier against Francis Jones and the fighter that turned up against McIntyre was a different man. That's not a dis about McIntyre as I wouldn't shit on anyone's parade at winning the Brit title, it's just a statement of fact.
Even if you take the knockdown in the first into acct it in no way explains being flat footed and relying on hapless 1 punch lunges for the rest of the fight.
Anderson should win the rematch IMO.

Good call mate! The guy who fought McIntyre wasnt the real Ando, he was fucked, not enough time between fights, the guy looked burnt out. Once Ando had a good rest, then trains properly he will be too much for McIntyre. Ando will win by KO.

Ando had a bad defence against Jones as well.

He's open to straights and left hooks.

His chin looked suspect against Jones as well.

I couldn't believe it. Anderson doesn't have a great defence at the best of times but he couldn't get out the way of anything. He just didn't give himself enough time to rest after the gruelling Jones fight. Plus, McIntyre was miles better than I've ever seen him and deserves great credit.

Very interesting rematch and I won't be risking a penny on it.

McKintyre may just have Anderson's number. I fully refreshed Kevin Anderson will be the best measure of this.
