Just got in from a night out and watched the friday fight night
on sky. Pre recorded and pretty pissed i cant remember the name
of the lady referee on the undercard of the soto fight but can just
remember thinking that it just wasnt right !!

Was a bit weird, I don't see the need for it.. Probably because they don't want to make it look like it's sexiest.

But bottom line is, they shouldn't be doing it, I've had woman ref a few of my amateur fights, not a fan of it.. didn't help she was decent looking but that's not what I'm getting at.

women pilots, women referees, women drivers etc etc

What recent fight did Sparkle also referee in the US? I swear I noticed her on a DVD fight I got.

i was a bit irked by that too but maybe we should listen to RedMed'....I'd rather take a competent referee anyday if that's a woman than an incompetent bloke.

same in football.......outside the premier league I've been to football league matches and seen a linesman practically fall asleep then try to "sprint" 40 yards to get to where they're meant to be stood when he's finally fcking clicked on that the ball's moved and that after the fans have given him a jolt.............just cos he's a bloke don't mean a fit woman can't do a ten times better job.

I just don't think that a female ref will have the same authority and presence as a male ref. 'Right' or not

So which female referee would you like to take command of british bouts?

I have seen Sparkle Lee referee a few times and she is certainly no worse than a lot of her male counterparts IMO.

Perhaps, but not when presiding over a fight with a good looking lad involved. She may, at a Stretch, come over all biased and unnecessary.
