I tip Martin Power to win on points in a closely fought fight.

I actually dont care. Probably wont watch or record the bill, which is a bit sad isnt it.

Very interesting re-match. I had Napa winning the first fight, but struggle to pick a winner this time.

Errrr.....Napa on points as he's the man in form and had the edge last time.

Napa wins; he's riding a big wave of momentum, while Power hasn't recouped from two heavy defeats. Napa might even get the stoppage he was well on his way to getting legitimately against Haskins.

I cant quite see Napa getting the stoppage but points is almost a cert for him.

Napa on points, he's looked good in his last two outings...

Power might be affected mentally by the Munyai defeats so I'll go for Napa.

Dont know who they are, so not going to Vote.

But Martin 'Power' sounds like has the edge with that name.

Why's everyone saying Napa has been looking good lately? Very confusing, he's been slowly getting worse through out his last 3 fights, and was getting spanked by Haskins till Haskins picked up the injury.

From where I'm sitting, Napa's got worse and Haskins 27 so he could surely of only got better.. unless getting stopped twice took something away from him, but don't kid yourself in to thinking Napa would of got anything else then KO'd by that Munyai guy.

Napa was excellent against Haskins. Sure he took a lot of stick in the early rounds, but he remained calm, didn't waste energy, made his shots count, and then was firmly on top from round four onwards. He would have stopped Haskins even without the injury.

The fight was a lot like Pryce v Small, and Pryce is another who people are saying has improved a lot.

I remember betting on Napa in the fight and thinking, I've lost this...untill the knock out, not that a clear memory though so I'll take your word for it.

Been a big fan of Napa how he fights, even though he's not much power.. But this is the first time I betted agaisnt him.. I just think he's slowing down.. we'll see.

1) Is he slowing up... I wasn't all that impressed with him vs Haskins. Took his time and I think could have done a better job when Haskins arm "went".

2) Has he fought too often this year... are we going to have enough James Hare/Kevin Anderson scenerio.

Prime Napa is better than prime Power IMO - question is though, is this a prime Napa.

Napa was calm against Haskins, who blew his wad in the first 2/3. Napa started getting the upper hand and outboxing him, hurting him a couple of times, then all of a sudden Haskins had an arm injury. What was the story behind that in the end?

PS Some of Haskins fans there on the night = bunch of wankers, started a fight at ringside then swore all over the place. Scum.

Yeah good point, haven't seen enough of Power recently to know how near his prime he is also. Maybe the break has done him some good.

What I didn't like about the performance though was the final round. Now, I don't know what was wrong with Haskins but he spent a few rounds feeling sorry for himself. Then when he goes out for the one more round (something Sanigar wanted more than him, although Chris later denies it) - Haskins started boxing one handed and could be argued he leveled the round.

Now, Haskins has stamina issues and a temporament issues - well documented. It could be argued though that the only rounds he lost were the rounds he felt sorry for himself.

Power won't feel sorry for himself at all.

How do you know? I assume you are either a) Martin Power or b) a relative of his. I know there is at least another person like you on here who starts Martin Power threads and then disappears. I don't care either way but if you are Martin Power or are a relative of his, why not share any extra info you have with the rest of us.

Maybe MPG stands for Martin Power's Girlfriend!
