NATHAN "YO YO" BRIGGS

The up and down career of Nathan "Nasty Boy" Briggs continues.

Last night he was knocked down 5 times in being stopped in 2:09 of the eight by Alex Leapai in a 12 rounder for the vacant OPBF heavyweight Title. Nathan promises much and then falls in a heap when the acid is on.

I still think he'd beat Solo.

You probably think Santa Claus is going to bring you the Minogue sisters as well.

That would be nice too. But until I see big Solo in with someone decent I'm going to keep saying he's shit. Briggs is a better Boxer and he's got guts to step up against good fighters.

Is it a matter of Solo won't fight them or they won't fight him? There seems a reluctance among heavyweights to take a chance against the former forward.

Should we be talking up Briggs Vs Big Bob?

Mirovic & Wilson both have victories over Briggs. Leapai KOed him, and it's only a couple of years since Leapai was KOed by Baden Oui!

Most of the men Briggs has beaten are the same ones Haumona has been knocking over.

I agree Nasty Boy can box & will take on hard opponents BUT he has a very suspect chin. Solo by early knockout.

Not sure if you were at that fight but Baden hit Alex Leapai in the back of the head. Straight out blind shot.

Alex turned away thinking the round was over.

Dont read too much into that result.

I've heard the same thing from 2 separate people ringside for the fight that it was a totally bogus result.

Two things a boxer is always told
1. (by the ref) "Protect yourself at all times."
2. (by any good trainer) "Never turn your back on your opponent.".
