WHICH CROOK IS GONNA REF GRAHAM EARL/AMIR KHAN..?

I can just see it now-- rd 3, Khan unlaunches his happy slappy routine on Earl who lays against the ropes waiting for Amir to blow himself out on his big oversized durable head and then-- oh shit!!! The ref has stepped in and stopped it 'to save Earl from anymore punishment!!'

John Rawling talks about Amirs 'great unmatched handspeed!!' as Duke McKenzie masturbates freely next to him.

The press talk about Amir being a cant-miss world champion after his epic victory.

Frankie boy gives a sly nod & wink to Amirs dad at ringside, and the hustle goes on. For another few months.

hold on are you getting itchy feet on this one. A lot of people have been saying Khan's in for a pasting for a long time now and they're gonna look pretty silly on Saturday night........
say whatever you lioke about Khan , young, inexperienced (boxed better fighters since 16yr old than most pros do for the first few years of their careers for G's sakes)....dodgy chin, yeah right !
What is indisputable is Khan's power and speed. How these people can come on here saying he's in for a pasting is beyond me it really is. Such is their complete disregard for ANY of Khan's qualities it can only be summed up as bitter attempts to knock the lad off his perch.
May the best man win. I think it will be AK.

Difficult to judge Khan when 13 of 14 his victims were undersized scared stiffs with zero kayos with no intent of making a fight or believeing they could even win.

Lone exception was Limond, who put him on the floor and had him in all kinds of trouble.

Life & death Limond = big trouble v Graham Earl.

I agree. Earl gets stopped on his feet inside six rounds.

If you were Amir Khan's promoter you would also put him in the ring with boxers that have low KO to win ratios. He's gaining experience at the moment and to put him against a World class boxer would be stupid.

making up controversies before they've even happened. how cynical things are.

There's a middle ground between the flannel-fisted brigade that Khan has been fighting and genuine world class operators. Earl is in that middle ground and that's why those of us who are less than convinced by Khan's defence and durability anticipate a kayo defeat for the Bolton Boy Racer.

lay of the the criticism ! wow..

I mean if it was a cushioned 30-0 Victories against Nobidies and has beens fair enough.

But he is relativley new. I mean what is this? his 14th or 15th Pro Fight??

One thing i like about him he does not Trash talk like his opponent Earl is at the moment.

Anything he says about his opponent his minimal like most Boxers. Nothing Absurd our out of the ordinary.

He is Young, Give him time..

Not calling him a Legend, but all the Bigtime Boxers did not go out for Title shots in their first few fights.

Khan doesn't trash talk???

I think he has a bit in the lead up to this fight, hasn't he? I can't remember exactly what was said though. It makes for an exciting fight.

Khan is always running his mouth.

PS i just wanted to put the premature stoppage possibility out there before it happens-- many of Amirs opponents have been stopped yet been nowhere near the shape Amir was rd 6 v Limond.

agreed, cant understand all this hating on Amir, he is moving up the ranks quickly and fighting Earl at this stage of his career has to be admired.
Ok he ran his mouth off a buit about being the best in Britain already but at least he is upping the standard of opponent. And it would be pretty shit if he came out and said "im only third best in britain at this juncture til i fight Ealr and Thaxton" I mean what woudl you say then.

and believe it or not I give warren credit where its due on this one too.

and to drive the final nail in on this one it's not Khan's fault that half the guys weren't able to give him a fight. Lawton gave Thaxton a bloody good fight (who Khan would stuff by the way going off JT's latest performance).
Steffy Bull......point taken, but that wasn't Khan's fault neither, if he was so bad he'd have been stopped a lot more times than he had been, truth is other guys weren't good enough to put him away.
And the ref had to stop that one as time after time Bull was throwing absolutely nothing back. What should he have done give him another 3 rounds. The rules of boxing are quite clear........no kicking, no eye-gouging, no elbowing or kneeing to the groin, or head-butting, no spinning back kicks, no biting, but apart from that - do what you gotta do to win. And bull was doing nothing.

If you don't like it-- don't fookin read it!!

I think its legit to bring up beforehand, i could easily see Terry O'Connor or one of the boys stepping in and stopping it prematurely.

PS i cannot 'not' watch Amir, for the same reasons someone would be p#ssed off if they passed on watching Audley/Sprott, if ya get what i'm saying.

I always remember O'Conner refing Haye v Thompson, O'Conner was miliseconds from jumping, he could have saved Haye's unbeaten record. Not sure if he would have become the same fighter though.

And he would of been totally wrong to stop it too.

So many great fights have resulted from guys coming back to win.

If O'Connor or any British ref had referreed the Rumble In The Jungle it would of been Foreman TKO3 Ali.

Sooo many possible thrillers we may have missed out on cos of our shitty 'safety first-- as long as the right guys on top' referees.

well don;t watch it then, no need to make a topic about how you're not going to watch it then....

I personally want to see Amir Khan School Earl Quick as possible since Earl Been giving it all mouth ever since fight was arranged..

Khan has Kept his Mouth Shout.

Khan has def not kept his mouth shut-- hes been talking bout being better than Earl and Thaxton for donkeys, then scraping himself off the floor against Limond.

But let me say it gents-- if Khan does mop the floor with Earl then fair play to him i'll keep my mouth shut!!

Khan hasn't really impressed me. In personality or style. Not very articulate and goes OTT with his speed. But he'll probably end up going a long way. These cocky fighters, I always want to see how they take it on the chin. But I honestly am not sure if Earl will land that many shots. Earl could put him away for sure, if he stood still or if the occasion got the better of Khan.

is Khan the favorite for this one?

The way some members are writing him off, it should be an intresting match

Didnt Earl fight for a world title this year - Maybe Earl isnt exactly world class but he was good enough to take on and Knock over Katsidis who is - Its a very risky fight for Khan, very risky.

Precisely, that is the situation - Great payday for Graham and a far bigger one for the (in the contract) rematch.

Khan probably is the favourite by a short head - I am not writing him off but Earl should win because he can take a good punch which Khan cant and he (Earl) can land heavy himself - Earl will weather the flurries and look for the leading chin AND BANG.
