Hatton - Mayweather Purses?

Apologies if a similar thread is kicking about elsewhere but anyone know how much coin both men are getting for this one? The Sun claiming Hatton might make £10million. Also looking to settle a pub argument about 3 richest fights in history.

I'm saying it's:

De La Hoya - Mayweather
Lewis - Tyson
Tyson - Holyfield II

Hatton has his purse and some % rights to the HBO money coming in -

on top of that I am not sure whether they managed to get the complete rights from Golden Boy for the UK coverage. that in itself is another 4 million - ish coming into the coffers from Sky TV.

There projecting 1.1million buys Stateside. Thats probably $25m each.

Tyson v Holyfield 2 was the second biggest grossing:

I'm unsure about the third. I thought it might be Trinidad v DLH, which I think got 1.4 million, but I can't find the stats anywhere.

Running Costs
HBO also want to make a profit and in addition they will only offer up a certain percentage of the profits to the fighters. Also the promoter will want his nice big piece of the cake.

fornicate me Spud-u-Like where do you get your figures. My advice to you would be don't become an accountant.

£4M from Sky? £1M if he's lucky and he has no UK rights.

Did you do the projections for FA when Hatton fought? If so it might explain a few things.

Apart from Lennox Lewis, probably easily the biggest payday for a British fighter. It looks like Hatton will be making several times as much as Joe C. did for the Kessler fight. That's why Calzaghe needs to fight in the US if he wants to join the top earners. Big crowds in Cardiff don't seem to equate to the megabucks for the fighters. It's the Vegas hotel site fees and PPV money.

And Wicky is a advertising whore. His tracksuit at the presser yesterday must have had about twenty different companies advertising. He's definately it in for a fast buck. And who could blame him.

In F1 they chainge jackets after the race to one where all the sponcers are facing forward so you can see them on TV. Does he still have his dads carpet company on his robe?

What do people think of it when boxers have sponcers on there back, I think that looks crap, do you realy want goldenpalece.com on your back in all the photoes of you at your greatest moment.

Know exactly who he is - spoke to a renowned boxing personality who swears he, Boxing Tw*t From Brentwood Who Crys When He Is Sacked plus a couple of other work colleagues often use to amuse themselves on these forums.

Naturally I cannot say who this is and what company it is!!! but telling you now I know.

And just for an extra bit - there is a twist on who Boxing Twat is.
