Nightmare - Have You Fallen Asleep - Then Missed ...

Just discussing this very thing with Real Deal on the "dog and bone" -
I said "F*ck me could you imagine falling asleep and then waking up after the boxing on Saturday/Sunday Morning has finished!!!"
What a nightmare that would be - especially if Ricky wins!!!
It got me thinking - have you missed a big fight you have wanted to watch whether it be at home and you fell asleep!!!

or did you actually go to a fight and get too p*ssed in the bar??

Not boxing, but I missed England winning the Rugby world cup as I forgot to set my alarm. What a twat.

Woke in the morning to find out it wasn't a dream!
This time there is plenty of red bull in the fridge!!

Few others cant think off at the moment.

That's what I've started doing now too. I find doing the all nighters on your own, by the time the main event comes on you're so tired that all you want is for it to finish so you can go to bed. Take a lot away from the enjoyment of it. Sky plus is also good to have because you can just get up in the morning and watch it first thing as though it's live and forward through the parts between fights.

So what are some you lot doing to make sure you don't miss the big night on Saturday - I actually thought of taking the "Mrs" for her annual night out - but then thought drink would get the better of me - either that or I am going to have alarm clocks and the mobiles in the house placed in different parts of the room set at 1 minute intervals.
It would be a bloody disaster missing Saturday.

I love to sleep through rugby matches - I can only think of one game more boring, cricket.

I feel asleep during one of Don King’s super-cards on Sky Sports around this time of year in 2003. I saw Judah knock out Jamie Rangel then drifted off and woke up during the last round of Hopkins-Joppy.
So I missed Ruiz-Rahman, Spinks-Mayorga, Simms-Garcia and eleven rounds of Hopkins-Joppy.
Thankfully, I recorded it – though I wasn’t saying that as I watched Ruiz-Rahman on the Sunday afternoon.

I've never done it; I'm hardcore.
Saying that, I used to stay up for ALL the American cards, but I found I can't manage it anymore, so it has to be a really special occasion now. Last one was Floyd-Oscar. The rest of them, I've watched the next day.

After badgering my mate for about a month to order the Hopkins v DLH fight, (I didn't have sky at the time), I then proceeded to go out on the lash with some bird beforehand, and arrived at my mates really pissed about 1 in the morning. I carried on drinking and after several beers, I conked out on the Sofa.
I was awoken by my mate screaming at me and shaking me violently while telling me 'I thought you said this was the biggest fight in fookin' years?'
I was so pratted that I could only open one eye, and yet I managed to write one page of utterly illegible notes on the two rounds I saw before Oscar was stopped.
