I'm watching a copy of this fight now and I never noticed until now when the HBO announcers pointed it out, but the judges were seated 2 rows away from ringside. One judge was even behind the row of photographers who swarm the ringside area like a bunch of flies on crap. Fortunately this was a cut and dry fight to score but it's still strange. Anybody know why this was done?

They were unofficial judges from the WBC. The official ones were appointed by the state commission and were seated at ringside. All three official judges scored it 120-107 too, not the BS scorecards the WBC appointed unofficial ones gave.

You're right. I just went back and checked the decision and matched it with what is on BoxRec and what is on BoxRec is the WBC judges scores which were not announced to the crowd. Just HBO. What was announced to the crowd was the scores of 120-107 by the other 3 judges. And it would seem to me that that is what belongs on BoxRec.
Maybe this belongs in the Record Queries section.

The scores and the judges have been updated. The unofficial scores have been noted in the wiki.
