Will take hatton two or 3 more fights at real top level to convince me otherwise. Hamed beat more better people than he did. Until he fought Costa he was beating people who are about the level of european and "international" titles at best. Calzaghe, top of his devision for years but should have fought more top people. Lewis, was top of the HW devision over what could be seen as 2 eras even 3 eras.

Almost totally agree, but think Calzage should be above hatton on the achievements one.

Lewis then the other three.

Lewis - he went out there and took more chances

Calzaghe - by far 2nd place

Hatton/Hamed - we'll see

Lennox by a country mile.

Has to be Lennox, closely followed by Joe, then Ricky......then Naz

You know all the press lists befor the Hatton fight had him and calzaghe above lewis not sure if that was based on racism or crass stupidity!

Lennox, he continually tested himself right up until the end of his career and avoided nobody. Bowe is the only BIG name that's missing from his record.

Calzaghe probably edges clear of Hatton after the Kessler win.

Naz, I loved him to bits when he was around, but he caught 'Silk Pyjama' syndrome. He had a very good career, but it could have been an excellent one. If I had £30m in the bank there's no way I'd be running at 5 in the morning either, so I can't blame him

Agreed with that - Hatton still has fights left before he can be judged historically.

If he (Hatton) quit tomorrow I think I would have Hamed just above him.

Lewis - did it all
Calzaghe - for recent opposition and longevity, but loses marks for too many easy ones earlier
Hamed - like Hatton, convincingly lost to the top guy he faced, but has done more in his career up to that point
Hatton - has potential to overtake Hamed if he cones back well

I don't know about being discarded, but considering he moved to Canada when he was twelve and fought for them at the Olympics, you can't expect him to have the same kind of following as the home born and bred fighters.

Lennox fought everyone apart from Bowe and that wasn't really his fault. He is defintiely the top of these guys. After that I'd go for Calzaghe then Hamed, then Hatton. Hatton isn't too far behind though and Calzaghe still has maybe 2-3 big fights left if he wants them.

He beat bowe as an ametre which sort of counts. If calzaghe beats Hopkins and the Taylor Pavlic winner + someone else at LHW (whoever is the most legit champ out of the 4 at the top, do you think it'd put him above Lewis, I for one don't but there is a case.

LEWIS without a doubt...he face EVERYONE ! Calzaghe is on the route to be another great, but he now needs to only fight big names until he retires.
He beat Mitchell (champion) he beat Lacy (champion) he beat Kessler (champion) that is a good start, now he needs to fight : Hopkins , Wright, Dawson, Tarver, Woods etc...Its a pity because Joe has incalculable handspeed, i have never seen such fast hands at super middle, he can beat anyone with such gift.

Lewis, he went out there and beat every man he ever faced.

He may have been a bit boring sometimes but he beat almost everybody (except bowe) worth beating.

Undisputed champion who came back from defeat twice to win back his title.

How can he not be the greatest?
