i've had a tip that colin lynes's stance of refusing to fight gianluca branco in italy despite increasing amounts of money offered has finally worked - money not being everything - and that the fight will now take place probably at the goresbroke in dagenham in late january.

Home advantage is huge for this fight and if Lyons promoters have secured it then I'd have to edge with him over Branco .

Funny thing is only a short time ago hardly anyone was interested in Lynes, except his loyal fans from Essex - He has cetainly improved a lot and had some good wins which is why he has become a lot more popular - I like Colin and I expect to see him have continued success in 2008.

actually, and probably a lot of guys on here will bear this out, its the whole lynes story in and out of the ring over the last 2 years that has endeared him to a broader set of sports fans. definitely worth a movie script.

With home advantage it's a winnable fight for Colin. Few could have expected him to school Young Mutley as he did. I just hope that Lynes will be ok after the sad death of his father - having his Dad at ringside for the Morrison & Mutley fights reallly seemed to make him perform at an extra level.
