Agreed, but if that fight happens, it happens in the MSG.

that's a bit uncalled for about Witter don't you think.

And as regards tickets you're way off the mark, it's more like 60 or 70 I think you'll find.........(if only  )

for those that missed my insightful analysis on the potential outcome of this fight (RH-PM) on another thread here it is again. Think Rocky I or II, remember Rocky trying to grab that chicken in the yard................Pauli Malinagimjig would be that chicken, in as much as RH wouldn't land a glove I don't reckon. Not now anyway.

I think he'll have a UK fight first, maybe two, before fighting Paulie.

Rees first then Witter me thinks so Junior can get another mandatory out of the way.

Malignaggi isn't Mayweather. Yes, he is slick and fast but he can't break an egg with his punch. I think Hatton would gladly walk through one of his lightweight combos to nail him with one good body shot. I'd see Hatton grinding him down, he might not look great doing it but I still think he'd do it.

Malignaggi is just a shrunken down version of Silvio Branco. They have the same style, the same physique (OK Branco has more muscles), and about the same ability.

You know why ppl rave about him? Because he beat a former journeyman Lovemore N'dou. Number 2 - because he's from New Bleedin' York. Who cares ultimately?

you plonker, your ability as a fighter is not determined by the amount of tickets you sell, we know witter is not big box office, but shit that boy can punch, he is the wbc title holder and spells a whole lot of trouble for anyone in the 140 division, either side of the pond !!!

Personally I think Ricky should bash up REes, win another world title and retire.

He's had a lot of tough fights and it would be nice for him to go out on a win.

I think stylewise Malignaggi is a dangerous fight. Paulie is underrated. A dickhead....but still very underrated.....

I can't believe we've got a UK fan campaigning for the Malignaggi fight, you sound as worried as Ricky does about fighting Witter!!

I agree. Ricky's not looking as fast about the canvas lately, I could see him chasing Malignaggi all night and getting the worst of it, even if he was never hurt.

I could see Ricky prefering this fight to Witter because Mag is not a puncher like Junior, ....but I could see Mag being too fast and outboxing Hatton. The more I look at it really the more I see this as being the begining of the end for Hatton, can he even make 140 properly anymore??... I thought he looked haggard at 145 against Mayweather... the yo-yoing weight has caught up with Ricky I think....

Thats the point...Hatton can't handle 147 and i reccon he will now find it harder than ever to make 140.

He might as well fight ODLH and cash out because i think Hattons fooked.

He should avoid Malignaggi like cholera. All wrong for a man who has always struggled against runners and southpaws.

Fcuking moron your probably one of those distaistful classless Hatton fans who shouted Witter is a Rent boy when he was fighting on a Hatton undercard. Not got the stones to box yourself but swallow Hatton's excuses for not fighting an able boxer who has the tools to beat him.

Rees would be a good fight cos Hatton would win that resonably easily would also be a more easy come back.

If not for the two knockdowns, the Witter-Ndou fight would have been scored a draw. Malignaggi also knocked down Ndou, and won every single round. Malignaggi will humiliate Witter or Hatton if they ever fight. About the only good things Britain still has is Martin Amis, Ian McEwan, and Will Self.
I hate Martain Amis he is a mediochr writer and racist pillok.

Malignaggi fought N'dou 2 years later than did Witter, I certainly think that Herman Ngoudjo isn't as good a fight as Witter would be.

Will Self is witty, but he is also a pompous upper class twit who tries to style himself as being somehow 'street' and 'down with the kids' because he did a bit of smack.

As for Malignaggi humiliating either Witter or Hatton, that's really rather unlikely. I reckon Witter would bomb him out, and Hatton would probably win, although at the moment, I think it a poor comeback fight for Hatton.

Witter would present a lot of problems to Paulie, and has the speed to make him pay.

I think Terry Eagleton was spot on there, I also simply don't see the fuss about his writing I have read a few of his short stories and they are crap. His comments were racist, if a tory MP had made them I would be asking for them to resign
"the Muslim community will have to suffer until it gets its house in order"
or do you think there is an acceptical context to call for
"strip-searching people who look like they're from the Middle East or from Pakistan"

Boxing has much more villains than literature, and I don't see too many people boycotting fighters just because they happen to dislike the way they present themselves in public. Your claim about Self is unfounded anyway, and probably based more on the widespread prejudicial belief that all writers are pretentious. When I'm reading the work of any talented author, I don't start to wonder about their personal life, for the simple fact that their talent makes for an engrossing experience that blocks out such trivial nonsense.

Look, if Malignaggi could give Cotto some problems, there's no way Witter will " blow him away." Malignaggi is tough as nails and his skills continue to improve everyday. Meanwhile, Witter is giving away far too many rounds to the likes of Corley and some guy named Colin Lynes.
Actually, I've met Will Self, and he did come across as a prat. He made some comments which beggared belief frankly.

I accept however that he is a very talented writer, and a genuinely witty bloke. I certainly wouldn't mind being able to write like that.

Yes, I am well aware of Witter's shortcomings, but I think Malignaggi would be troubled by Witter, and his lack of power would invite Witter to tee off.

I've never warmed to Witter's style, and even against Harris I thought there were still all the flaws in there, but he really can bang and has quick hands to deliver those shots.

So because he studied philology he can't be a philosopher? I don't get it.

Nietzche was one of the most important 20th century philosophers.
