The booing of the US National Anthem was awful – it’s one of the reasons that I rarely have the anthems played at my shows.

Quite right Fwank, why do so many promoters insist on playing it, leaving the boxers standing there getting cold?
But Joe and his fans are beyond reproachjohnswan1 wrote:Exactly, I don't know what he's talking about. Regrettably I was at Calzaghe-Manfredo and the Welsh booed through the Yanks anthem just as much as the Mancs did in Vegas.
yeah that's just it.TerribleTerry wrote:Warren’s bitter invective is just so hard to read – I cant bring myself to wade through yet another negative article, fuelled by jealousy.
Essentially he would like to see Billy Graham out of the way because he could once again try to woo Ricky, free from Graham’s influence.
Graham and Warren don’t get along – Billy helped some of his fighters negotiate with Warren over purses and Big Frank didn’t take kindly to his interference. It all came to a head with Graham putting the phone down on allegedly, allegedly.
I wish Warren would concentrate on promoting and writing about his own stable instead of trying to run down everyone else in boxing. Its sad he cant fill his day any other way.
not a single mention from warren after that was there.thepocketrocket wrote:Bit Joe and his fans are beyond reproachjohnswan1 wrote:Exactly, I don't know what he's talking about. Ha ha... wonder what % of the crowd were welsh, less than 25% I'd wager. In vegas I'll bet less than 15% were mancs. The Welsh and Mancs may have booed, but so did the rest of the UK fan base on both occassions.johnswan1 wrote:Exactly, I don't know what he's talking about. Maybe, but every cretin around me was more than capable of shrieking out the Welsh anthem.Wales wrote:Ha ha... wonder what % of the crowd were welsh, less than 25% I'd wager. I was, it was the worst seat I've ever had at a fight and the last time I'll go to watch one in a stadium.Wales wrote:You must've been in the sheep seats.
In a nutshell....Ant Evans wrote:The Fwankly Speaking column is a weekly disaster for the sport of boxing. Read that, and you get the impression top quality fights and fighters are utter shit, unless they sign with SN in which case they are awesome.
What’s hilarious is Frank has been the “go to” boy to get “boxing’s” reaction to the UFC’s rise in the UK. But no-one at the UFC slags boxing or boxer’s off... meanwhile each week Fwank rips every other promoter and fighter outside of SN apart and tells a massive readership just how shit all the best fighters and fights are!
My God Frank's insight is brilliant. Why didn't I think of this?Hatton has two choices now - retire, or fight on
yeah that or spud and his whispers.chesh wrote:This column appeared in last Saturday's Sun. Is this where the Hatton/Graham split rumour started?
Having cash in the bank is one thing, but what kind of legacy will Hatton leave the sport with?
I know. The gall is high quality. I'm sure FW would allegedly have turned down £17million and fought Witter at 140 to help his 'legacy'.oliverfennell wrote:This bit made me laugh

Couldn't agree more. This will be the single biggest read boxing text in the UK. And what is it? A free platform for a promoter allowed to openly air incredibly subjective views - with the general public, unlike us, not being in a position to offer any balance. An absolute disaster.Ant Evans wrote:The Fwankly Speaking column is a weekly disaster for the sport of boxing.
