Dear Administator
From the 2/4/73 till the 28/6/73 I had 8 fights 3X6 rounders,2X8 rounders and 3X10s.
Eight fights in less than 3 months I was told was an Australian record or can anyone tell me any other fighter that has had more than 8 fights within 3 months.
broke a record and didn't know it.. Matt Ropis

Sparrow Freeman was a very busy boy in the early 1980s and he had 10 fights in the 3 months from 30-06-1982 to 28-09-1982.

Sparrow Freeman also had 155 fights in just over seven years. He must have taken a hell of a lot of punches.

Good to hear from you in the Forum Matt, I saw you fight a couple of times and shit you went in against some talented fighters.
What did you think of Manny Santos? do you think he could have won a world title in todays environment.
Good Luck Matt.

Yeah, fifty fights without a main event. Not much financial reward for that much pain.

Sorry 'bout that, brother. I was looking for ten rounders. I see you fought some eight round mains. Promoter was probably too lousy to pay you ten rounder rate.

You seem to have fought Brad O'Toole several times. Was there some kind of rivalry between you two as to who was Brad number one?
