Lloyd Honeyghan Interview On Hatton.CLASS!

Just watched on youtube the interview Honeyghan did the day after PBF beat down Hatton.
Lloyd is fooking class and worth listing to the insightful points he makes about the fight & Hatton.
Calls Billy Graham a Taxi driver Mwhahahahaaha.
My kind of no nonsence bloke is our Lloyd, wish there were more fighters like him around today, the game would be a lot better off.
Some of you smart arse wannabee internet boxing experts should listen, take notes, humble yourselfs and think next time you write your metrosexual crap.
Also hillarious to read some of the Hatton fanatics comments banging their heads off their keyboards and spewing crap they would never dare say to the mans face.

To be fair, it is a fantastic interview. Lloyd's clothes are outrageous. He's still an honest, straight-talking man. Top guy.

A lot of thruth in what Lloyd says. Floyd was talking about the importance of lateral movement before that fight. And Ricky trying to walk through straight rights (nothing cute as Lloyd puts it) made things too easy for Floyd and took too much out of Hatton.
Ricky's style of boxing is what's made him so popular and exciting to watch, but ultimately has also restricted him from attaining his dream of getting to the very top.

nice to see lloyd with a matching hat for his dressing gown, lovely, and a nice touch too was the gold plated microphone, where on earth did sky get that from, must have cost a fortune.
but joking aside, lloyd spoke sense, but all lloyd said was the same as any reasonably knowledgeble boxing person would have said. hatton fought like a rank pro novice in there, no head movement and when he did get close he threw no leather.........shocking !!

Really?? Was Honeyghan not alluding to the fact that Mick Williamson (Hatton's cut man) is a taxi driver by day?

Straight talking??
Is this the same Honeyghan who before the fight was saying Hatton can win. Then 6 hours after the fight is saying he always knew Hatton would lose?

No pu$$y he didn't, before the fight Lloyd was saying for Hatton to win he would need to apply educated pressure, angles and move his head, he didn't sound confident of Hatton winning at all before the fight.

Yes Sir, the point of this thread was to highlight the simple way Honeyghan made sence when talking about this fight, yet you have c^nts that patrol forums like these that couldn't punch their way through a bag of chips yet they feel the compulsion to write fookin novels about something most of them know nothing about.

Listen to the interview again....He's saying it was a no contest...Saying he predicted a Mayweather KO all the way...Which is utter bullsh1t...

I think he's saying more "I thought he would lose, but didn't want to say so publicly before the fight" which I think is fair enough.

No, he said he spoke to the Mayweather camp while in training and they said they were gonna bust Hatton up and then Ko him.....and thats what they did, Lloyd said he told all the people who asked him privatley Mayweather by KO on what he heard and liked from their camp.
What he said about the hatton camp was bang on, "All they do is get Hatton in shape"....they have no strategy or technique.

Honeyghan, now 47, said yesterday that Hatton can find the blueprint to unravel Mayweather in the way he dismantled Curry. "If he hasn't already," Honeyghan said, "he should go out and get a tape of my fight and watch it. They gave me less chance than they are giving Ricky. They said Curry's slick skills would be too much for me. But I knew it was never going to be all about strength.
"I wasn't going to just go in and chuck punches at him. You can't win a fight like that. It's got to be educated pressure, with lots of lateral movement. That's what Ricky will see if he watches my fight. He'll see me constantly going forward but moving, moving, moving. I've seen Ricky fight like that before. That's what he needs to do on the night.
"There's no question that Ricky's strong enough to chase Mayweather down and close him down all night. I went to their press conference in London and I gave Ricky a hug, and his body was like iron.
"Mayweather can shout all he wants about being the best in history, which I don't agree with, but it's not going to get under Ricky's skin."
At what point does Honeyghan mention that Mayweather will win by KO?

The only lateral movement Hatton did all night was into the ringpost.

Honeyghan taks bullshit! When asked about Ricky's chances against Floyd, Honeyghan couldn't even resist talking up his win against Curry, saying that's the blueprint for Ricky in order to win.

leave lloyd alone, he is punch drunk to fornicate but is still a hell of a character, he was one of my heroes in his day when he was hammering the likes of bumphus and hatcher....

Honeyghan had his thoughts, but he didn't want to be seen as a hater. It's obvious.

I like Lloyd - a character through and through.

as an aside, Honeyghan did exactly what he was saying Hatton shouldn't do in his big fight with Starling.
That was a thrashing that made the Hatton fight look tame.

I've got to say, my memories of Honeyghan's victory over Curry don't include lots of cute defensive work and lateral movement from Honeyghan.
As far as I remember he just bum-rushed Curry and clubbed him all over the place and took him out of his stride.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but my recollection is far from Lloyd's description of how he beat Curry.

I watched the fight on youtube the other day, it must have been the American showing because it had some good commentating that saw exactly what Honeyghan was doing as it unfolded.
Everyone who remembers the fight when it happened and havn't seen it for years says the same thing as you.....but if u watch Honeyghan closley he uses good head movement, good combos, body punches, feints, lead right hands that shock Curry and a good jab.....there was a lot more to Honeyghan than the smash & grab some people like to call it.
