I haven't seen RJJ in a while. (RJJ/Titto 17-1-08) I think RJJ foot speed could still be a problem. It could be Mundine/Green all over. Lets remember Mundine is just a RJJ cheap copy. :box:

Id pick Green by UD or late KO, RJJ in his prime would likely win a shut out 120-108 or even get a stoppage from the ref but at this point he is a shadow of the fighter he once was and if Johnson can beat him then Green would also.

Jones has not been at his best lately. His chin does not seem as strong as it was either, and he is getting old. Tarver has beaten him twice and Tarver did not look very flash in his last fight against a low grade fighter.

Roy Jones Jr, even at this stage, would be way to much for Danny. His hand speed and angles are still there and that would be enough.

Roy Jones Jr would also clown Mundine, not that Mundine would fight him...

i agree with what u said about jones v green but i think mundine would give him a very close fight and probably beat him at this stage in his career

Roy the Boy has lost three of his last five fights, being KOed twice. His wins were over Ajamu and Hanshaw, both on points, and neither of them are worldbeaters.

Face it. he is getting old.

NO. He's had it and a win against an old fart like this means nought

VERY interesting matchup that would never happen. Same goes for Mundine-JonesJnr.

A prime Jones would stop Green late IMO, and win every round in the process. The current version of Jones would be stopped if Green landed solidly, and would either fight very defensively, making the fight close on points with Green having the edge (although in the US Jones could still get the decision), or possibly be KO/TKOd.

The current version of Mundine would knock the current Jones Jnr out and win clearly IMO. Prime for prime is a mid rounds KO for Jones.

Johnson won a 10 rounder today by 8th round KO over Hugo Pineda. Do you remember him? Back in 1996 he was KOed in 11 at Parramatta Stadium by Kostya Tszyu!

:o :o :o

He started at 125lbs and just fought Johnson at 174!!! That is an interesting keep busy fight for Johnson while he waits to fight Dawson in April...

One of the greatest wins of all time for sure, Danny Green will be a lock to make the international boxing hall of fame. Even today we as an Aussie people can bask in the glory of this great man, our national hero. Any bad word against him is a bad word against all Australians.

It does make for interesting discussion, for further worship of great Danny 12 years after his shining moment. I am glad you took the time to bump this , as now I have been able to pay homage to the man who became a legend that night :yay:
