As an Englander (or whatever you call yourself) which English fighters do you not like?

In your opinion which English fighters are hated the most among the English? (and feel free to clue me in as to why you feel they arent popular if you like)?

I don't know if anybody else hates him but I do - Junior "The Bullshitter" Witter.

Past or present? I never liked Hamed. Too disrespectful to people he'd already beaten convincingly,or knocked out. No need for it. And them stupid ring entrances.

now just remove 1,2,4 and 5 and that's as good a list of twits as you'll find on any boxing forum worth it's salt. And I put that down to questionable intellect rather than plain badness on Mr Hamed's part.

Anthony Small's not a bad lad from what I have managed to ascertain. I think he basically takes his promotional techniques from Naseem Hamed and Clubber Lang out of Rocky. One thing's for sure it's never dull when Sugar Ray Clay Jones Junior's around in his trick or treat mask.

i thought khan would have the biggest support/ etc!!

I always used to like anthony small but i was always a big fan of Takaloo too so now i've been forced to choose and im goin for Tak.

After the way Small took the piss at the press conference the other day i hope Tak knocks him out and reckon he can if he's really put all that personal stuff behind him and goes back to the boxer he was before he fought Santos.

I don't know if any of these were/are "hated" but:

Prince Naseem Hamed tended to polarise opinion - there were those who saw him as the best thing since sliced bread, and those who thought him a ignorant ass. I don't think he meant any ill, but he did have an unfortunate way about him with his opponents.

David Haye I don't think he is disliked, but his fights have never attracted the paying spectators or excitement that other equalof lesser talents have managed. The fact that his world title win was picked up by TV as an afterthought tells you a lot about his low profile.

Audley Harrison the one thing Brits hate is Mr All Mouth No Trouser. Fraudley is the best example of this...

Matt Skelton likewise - not hated, just disliked for his boring, repetitive fights.

Thanks for the correction. Believe it or not I meant to put Englishman there, but it slipped my mind and I couldnt remember the term. Only thing I could think of is that we call people in the North East US New Englanders, so I ran with it.

Anyway. Seems most boxers are generally liked by the boxing public over there, the same names seem to keep coming up as those who arent liked.

It always perplexes me as to why Junior Witter is so disliked. He's one of the most gifted boxers in Britain at present, tried everything he could to entice Hatton into the ring to make what would have been the biggest fight in Britain since Eubank-Benn but has kept going and eventually became WBC world champion.

Out of the ring he's quiet and unassuming, well respected and well liked by those who know the real Junior. Witter's done things the hard way and after his last performance, a devastating knockout of Vivian Harris, we should all be getting behind him.

Thought Carl Froch's arrogance might have got him a few haters.

It did, and arguably it has, but Froch has produced the goods in the last 12 months and with it some chilling knockouts. His willingness to fight the very best has also won him respect.

I know i know... Audley Harrison, the laughing stock of British Boxing imo. All those times he said on BBC "I am gonna be world champ, fans, stick with me, im gonna be World Champ in 2 years."
