Herbie Hide spolier

As far as i managed to pick up Hide won in round 6, had the boy down a few times and his corner throw towel in.
Only saw the last couple of rounds but a solid performance by Hide, looked a little tired so I reckon he tried to blast the guy out early as the opponent was looking fairly marked up.bigped wrote:As far as i managed to pick up Hide won in round 6, had the boy down a few times and his corner throw towel in.
Hide will get chinned by the first half decent guy that fights him back.bigped wrote:the boy was down round two maybe? hide could maybe make a big noise at cruiser.
You honestly think Warren would let Hide within 100 miles of Enzorhino222 wrote:we want hide in with maccarinelli..surely that match is getting closer...
Well it would depend if Warren could get options on Herbie I suppose. I think it would draw a bit of attention. Remember Herbie is fairly well known, being part of the old ITV Golden Generation... I think it will get similar, but a bit more, interest as Froch vs Reid had.Deserter wrote:You honestly think Warren would let Hide within 100 miles of Enzorhino222 wrote:we want hide in with maccarinelli..surely that match is getting closer...![]()
Talk about a high-risk, low-reward fight from Warren and Enzo's perspective... can't ever see it happening...
Stu, sorry mate, but I honestly think you're wrong on this one. Even if Warren could get options on Herbie the huge difference is that Enzo can make Warren proper money - fanbase, TV exposure etc - whereas Hide is a non-entity in those terms.stujones wrote:Well it would depend if Warren could get options on Herbie I suppose. And that alone has guaranteed him massive exposure that he'll be able to capitalise on going forwards, particularly given Joe's only got another year or so left in the game and the Welsh fans will need a new 'poster boy' for the future.yiddo14 wrote:I don't think Enzo can make Warren "proper money" to be honest.
Only reason he has fought infront of such large crowds before is down to being Joe Calzaghe's regular warm up boy.
True, im a big Hide fan but feel this, i watched half the fight last night and herbie has no footwork or stamina...nickd wrote:Hide will get chinned by the first half decent guy that fights him back.bigped wrote:the boy was down round two maybe? hide could maybe make a big noise at cruiser.
I'd rather just give him a firm handshakeMr Gunn wrote:Come on the Dancing Destroyer
Not if Herbie landed first.Max Molyneux wrote:If Vitali Klitschko could breeze punch Hide, then Mac will Ko Herbie.

Enzo will make Frank far more money than Hide - it's not even a debatable issue...
I think Warren is making better matchups at last - Its taken years for boxing to excite people again and good fights have to be made now while the iron is still hot - The Mitchell fight will, or should, get us off to a good start in 2008 - Macca/Haye would be fantastic but Macca/Hide would be pretty good also - FW has got to do something big with Enzo before that particular pot goes completely off the boil.Deserter wrote:You honestly think Warren would let Hide within 100 miles of Enzorhino222 wrote:we want hide in with maccarinelli..surely that match is getting closer...![]()
