Well folks.
Was at the Lee fight in Dublin last week. Had the pleasure of meeting and having a chat with Manny Steward. He said Lee 'busted up' Jermaine Taylor in sparring, and that he wouldnt train Taylor anymore cus he ahs too much yes men around him.
I find it hard to believe that Lee busted up Taylor. Being Irish, i obviously like Lee, but i think Manny is just hypin his man up. He seems to have a tendancy to do that.
Duudy V Lee must happen this year.

I agree, rumours are that the relationship between Taylor and Steward was volatile so I suspect he's just saying that as Jermain is no longer his fighter.
He's hardly gonna admit if Jermain beat Andy in sparring.

Emanuel Steward is known for bragging about what his kids do in sparring.
I remember one kid, Octavio Lara who was about 14 but he said was banging world champions about in the gym. he turned pro but hasn't done much.
Manny will be annoyed because he lost a cash cow when Taylor went.

Yeah, they're discussing it on Current Scene now.
Eastman is the 160 yard stick.

I remember Octavio Lara.
Personally, I think Manny Steward knows a LOT of techniques but I wouldn't have him training me. He's too much of a control freak. And his fighters tend to get KOed.

He's great if you want to perfect your jab though.

True but he also went on to mention how he was out of shape and Spaddy was a couple of weeks away from a fight. Mayweather said that he had arrived at the top rank (i think) gym and spadaforas people goaded him into sparring.
Floyd being a competitor said ok, and Paul got the better of him. But if you look at the tape Floyd is knackered after a couple of rounds. He lies on the floor panting.

This is irrelevant, as Mayweather also goes onto talk about the difference between gym fighters and genuine world champions. Sparring is, when you're a fighter of Mayweather's class, essentially nothing.
The boxing game is full of gym fighters and coulda beens...
