From Danny Williams to Jack Dempsey in 8 fights!

Ok, time to test the old grey matter. How can you link Danny Williams to Jack Dempsey in 8 fights using common opponents?
for example,
Danny Williams WKO4 Mike Tyson.
Mike Tyson ....?
Right through to the Manassa Mauler
If you know the answer post your own challenge, something like Ricky Hatton to Ted 'kid' Lewis.

Yes, I think I've got it....not bad after a 14 hour night shift!
Williams KO4 Tyson
Tyson KO4 Holmes
Holmes KO10 Ali
Ali KO3(?) Moore
Moore L KO9 Marciano
Marciano KO10 Louis
Louis KO6(?) Sharkey
Dempsey KO7 Sharkey
Haven't got time to suggest another one I'm afraid though - day shift's just arrived.

well done dan, that is the route I was thinking of but I'm sure there are alternatives.
Can anyone set a more challenging one!

I got from featherweight champ to heavyweight champ on a who-beats-who basis i.e. on paper the featherweight was better than the heavyweight. Can't remember how many results or the route, but I know Dingaan Thobela bridged super feather to super middle
