Actually this is quite timely. I'm looking for a new phone. Want one with min 5 meg camera - any views on what I should be looking for? Think the N95? has one and know the LG Viewty has...

I have the LG Viewty. Takes a while to get used to but it's probably the most happy I've been with a phone in a long time. The power save on it is great as it makes the battery last longer than others. I had an N80 previouslty and it was a piece of sh1t. My g/f has the N95 but doesn't use any of the features of it, and complains about the battery needing charging every day. None of them are that good for pictures really though, there is always a delay between pressing the button and taking the picture and they're always grainy when blown up to even screen size.

SHARP phones have great cameras but the memory is a bit poor. SAMSUNG are ok, if you splash the cash....

I have two, the Apple iPhone (o2) and a Samsung E900 (Vodafone), and both are good in their own ways.

Despite some negative press, the iPhone is a decent all-rounder - though only packs a 2mp camera. The E900 is my favourite, however, easy to use and looks good.

Still, Vodafone's signal where i live is terrible and if anyone phones me then i miss half a conversation.

Sony Ericsson are the best camera phones in my experience. K850i is a 5 mg camera on it with real flash and its a good un.

Does that have a joystick? If so, feck that. I've got a K800i and that son of a gun's joystick is pap.

Yep the joystick is gash and the phone has a 'fragile' feel to it but I cant knock the camera.

Probably the N95 is your best option in that case..

Got an N95 and am well happy with it, (sadly have looked at the forum on it) I had an LG befor and its more of a pain in the arse to use, though not as much of a pain in the arse as the fornicating motarola I had subsiquently.

The L & G Viewty is the best on the market right now until the 3G version of the iPhone comes out in May. A little bird has told me that the iPhone exclusivity with O2 might be ending, as it hasn't been selling as well as expected.

I've got a K800i and it's been back to SONY to be fixed, now it turns itself off when I dial someone from my SIM Card beginning with the letter "M". I wish I was making this up.
