I think it would be an exciting match, yes. Saldivar's career was hurt to an extent by it's stop-start nature. He initially fought for just six years before retiring, though there would be comebacks. One thing about him you couldn't ignore was his body assault. When coupled with impressive endurance he was a force to be reckoned with.

You could say much the same for Arguello, who truly does belong in the class of, "Master boxer-puncher." I imagine Saldivar would force the fight, but how would he fare running onto Arguello's long jab & precise, devastating shots? This is a tough call, Elmer.
