It'd have to be the fight of Spinks' life to win this, IMO. It would have demanded a more tiring effort than his rematch with Holmes. Moore is such an excellent reader of his opponent & I can imagine Spinks' game essentially figured out by the mid-rounds. That's just looking at Moore's tactical ability. Throw in his immense punching power & warrior heart & you've got a sealed deal.

Id like to see more of both men at LHW, to make a call and out of interest.

You hear so much of Moore, and with his impressive record he is a definite force.
Unfortunately most film available that I have seen has been of him at HW and in his later years.

I just watched Spinks vs Tangstad, man what an awkward though active guy.

I think this a great matchup that could have gone either way. Probably would go the distance, but a knockout by either isn't out of the question.

Archie was the harder puncher, though Spinks could bang. Spinks was more difficult to hit and had a better chin.
Archie usually had an advantage in ring smarts but Spinks was very smart as well.
Would have been a great fight between arguably the two greatest lightheavyweights of all time.

As much as I like Michael, I think Archie has enough cunning and power to steal a razor-thin verdict.

I would go with a Spinks UD.

Moore by UD
