Lads,

Any ideas where I could get some cheap digs near the O2? Going to Haye - Enzo fight but not been down that way since watching Michael Hunter - Mark Payne I (Naz's last fight) when it was Docklands. Any ideas/numbers/web links? Would be very much appreciated.

Plenty of hotels by the O2 but none of them will be cheap, especially with a fight on. If you're in town for a few days you don't want to be stuck out there anyway, it's dead out there. Get a better deal in town and get a cab out on the night, about £40.

Agreed. We're gonna drive like last time as the parking is only a fiver.

Greenwich is too fecking expensive to stay.

Mitre pub - Greenwich

there's a travelodge at east india (DLR)and you can see to dome from there it's only 2 miles away or 10mins on the DLR

I was thinking the same thing, are there any hotels in walking distance? Getting a cab after a 2am fight might be a real hassle.

There aren't a great number of hotels near the o2, so you'll probably have to tube/boat/walk or cab it one way or another. We stayed at the International Hotel in Canary Wharf when we went to see a show last Nov, and was only one tube stop away.. good rates too..

The late start means tubes arn't an option- so what about Cabs? Will there be a massive wait for taxis? I would imagine there will be, unfortunatly, although I don't really know.

You can pre-book parking for £20, but on the day it could be as cheap as £5.

Be careful though, for the Khan fight there was fck all cars as it was only 8,000 people but as this is full attendence it might bve booked solid.

However, there's offsite parking in Greenwich too.

the hotel at east india is a safe bet, the DLR tube being very good. i like that place. good manager in there.
i live a spit from the O2 but you cant stay with me because i gather you snore

I've booked a room down the road, walking distance if need be. Thats always useful, seeing as the taxi situation, and getting out the car park is going to be a nightmare.

I've also got a £29 room for the Sunday, plus an extra £10 to check in at 12pm- for London I'd say that was pretty good, so I can catch up on my sleep!
