First of all I am sorry for posting this question, it was discussed a few months ago on here and I can't find the thread. Could someone please explain it again.

I am now based in Australia, I am having a discussion with a colleage regarding Anthony Mundune.

Joe Calzaghe and Mundune are both WBA Super Middleweight champions. However I remember reading something on this board that the real world champion was Calzaghe, and Mundune was the 'Super' Champ.

Was I right in saying to my colleague that Joe Calzaghe is the real World champion and Mundune is'nt technically classified as a World Champ with the WBA?

Calzaghe is the "Super" Champion and Mundine is the "regular" Champion.

Super means you are the best in the WBA and the real Title holder but you have unified so the WBA give you "Super" status.

Regular pretty much means you are the number one contender, or second best, in the organisation.

However, Mundine has been collecting bottle tops at a rate of knots. So long as he holds out for the big prize and doesn't stop at 50 caps for the fm shower radio, then he could go all the way to being a normal champion in a few months if Calzaghe vacates

Calzaghe is the 'Super-Duper Champ' where as Mundine is the 'Super champ', they've also got a 'Good champ', a 'Decent Champ', a 'Wank Champ' and a 'My Dads mate knows the WBA President' champ
