Car crash time on Sat night, the two juniors on the seniors tour. A bizzare fight, but I still want to see it, and at least it doesn't cost us to watch it as much as it does in the US. Huge ticket prices by the sounds of it, and PPV as well.

Anyone giving Tito much of a chance? Roy looks the big favorite, but truth is, he might be even more shot than Trinidad.

Its an intriguing and interesting fight - If Tito makes an explosive return, then I'll be up for Tito vs Calzaghe if the Hopkins fight falls through.

I think Jones has done well enough since Johnson to be around the mix. I think if a fighter beats Jones well, then they should be well and truly in the mix.... and if its a superstar like Tito - then thats great for the devision.

If Jones wins, it doesn't change alot of the situation as Tito is such an unkown quantity at the weight.

Other than the ringside tickets, prices aren't too bad.

I'll be going - MSG is only a ten minute walk from my new apartment. I know its a bit of a joke, but given it is so close, to not go would be madness.

RJJ has faded less. Comfortable ponits win I think - not convinced Tito has the speed to land his bombs any more.

RJJ in a UD I reckon. I can't see either fighter having the power to stop the other.

Tito is too far north of his ideal weight and too far removed from regular competitive boxing.

Jones should win this handily.

If you have seen the countdown show you will have noticed the disparity in physiques - Tito looks a couple of weight classes smaller when stood next to Jones.

Its bizarrely fascinating to see these two legends clash but for my money Jones should have too much of everthing for Peurto Rico's favourite son.

Jones should be able to win by outboxing Trinidad but you never know what might happen if Tito lands a bomb on Jones china.... then again Titos own chin is rather doubtful, ...I wouldnt be surprised to see it end early either way....

Since the wrap scandal, Tito hasn't stopped a fighter. Although he has power, I'm sure that some of it had to do with his dodgy wraps.

He's stopped Cherifi and Mayorga since then. The wrap scandal was around the time of the Hopkins fight in 2001.

Yes, Tito showed pretty good power against Mayorga!

Can Jones make 170 ok? That's a big question. If the dried out Jones of the Tarver/Johnson fight turns up then Tito has a shout IMO. Jones should win a decision though.

I think Jones wins this unless he is really shot to bits, he's bigger naturally and has been more active and has far better skills than Trinidad who has always been rather overrated imo....

Car crash is right, don't care who wins but still I'd like to watch to see either a) glimpses of the old RJJ, or b) a crushing Tito KO.

Absolutely no idea who wins this. No idea how shot Jones is or Trinidad for that matter.

I think Jones wins on points - probably because it's what I would pick if they met in their peaks at Middleweight - but I have no confidence in that.

I voted that Jones would win by unanimous decision in the Current Scene prediction league, but, after watching a recent documentary on the both of them, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jones knocks out Trinidad.

I think Felix Trinidad is somewhat of a surprise element. You can only base your prediction from fights that at are least 2 and a half years ago, unless you are actually in the position to watch him train. He seemed quite dedicated in the documentary, but also seemed a lot smaller than Jones.

I'm excited about this bout.

I wont be once I realise Tito resembles a walking mummy and RJJ turns oout to be Honey Roy Palmer.

The weight is a concern for both I'd say. Fight shouldn't really be happening.

Winky Wright was too big for Trinidad at 160, but then Jones Jr could be in a right state getting down to 12st 2lbs. Either way it's a clash of modern legends and the anticipation will be great.

Damn Tito/King for going with that Winky Wright fight though. The return of Trinidad in 2004 and the electric performance against Mayorga was one of the most exciting moments in recent times for me. Of all the opponents to take next they bring on Winky, which brought everything to an immediate halt. Now you can't read a sentence about Tito without seeing the word "shot" featuring somewhere.

theres a preview on fight channel, something like 427 on sky. Its a good awful attempt at 24/7 I think, its pants. If the fight is as bad as the preview we're in big trouble.

On the fight, I fancy Jones to stay out of range and pick upa UD

Still Fancy trinidad to take this - Jones Jr is finished and is nothing like the fighter he once was. Tito is also outside of anything we have seen before, but there isn't enough evidence to suggest he is as shot as Jones is.

He did get a schooling from Winky, but on reflection that was a terrible match to take. I think we all know Tito can be outboxed, but against Mayorga he looked devastating.

I suspect jones will back up and try and win it off the back foot, but at some point Trinidad is going to connect, and Jones will come undone.

If Tito wins, it just shows Jones' punch resistance has gone completely, and is finished.

Neither man should be in the ring with Calzaghe, but it Jones wins he's the more valid opponent as he is a former 168 and 175 lb champion.

I agree. Trinidad was not a big Middleweight. I don't think he's broad enough for it and he looked small against Joppy and Hopkins. Jones on the otherhand was a big Super Middleweight. By being active recently too I think he wins this one very easily - toying with Trinidad before knocking him out when and how he pleases. I just hope it's not like Tarver-Jones 3.

Can't make my mind up about this. Jones is undoubtedly shot to pieces. His chin is gone, his timing and balance are not what they were and he's not fought below 175 for 12 years, so will surely be very weight-drained. His advantages are size and recent ring activity.

Trinidad, on the other hand, although not obviously shot, is as rusty as an old nail and should perhaps have taken a tune-up fight first. As James mentioned, he looked tubby at 160, so the chances of his being in great shape 10 pounds north appear slim. His power is formidable, but so far only at 147-160. Yet how much power will it take to finish the current version of RJJ?

I feel almost guilty that I am looking forward to watching what amounts to a freak show. My prediction: Jones on points or Trinidad by KO!
