Gotta be Morales-Barrera 1 for me. Two fighters in their prime, a unification to boot. Both fighters went all out - this fight had everything: non-stop action, tactics and controversy. When I first got hold of the tape of this fight I must have watched it like twenty times

Matthew Saad Muhammad -v- Yaqui Lopez 2 (1980).

Brilliant see-saw fight that you couldn't tell who was going to win.

Round 8 was probably the best round I've ever seen.

Saad was like a real life LHW Rocky Balboa.

So many to choose from but if I had to choose just one I think I'd have to go for Bobby Chacon vs Bazooka Limon 4... the best pure toe to toe skilled brawl that I've ever seen.... and I simply love Bobby, one of the bravest fighters I've ever seen bar none!....

Lyle v Foreman. IMO the greatest HW fight of all time. How either fighter wasn't dead by the end of it is beyond me.

Prince Naseem Hamed -v- Kevin Kelley!

No technique or subtlety in this fight. Both men abandoned defence & went for broke.

The Prince was standing at the end!!!

Gomez v Pintor is the fight I have probaby watched more than any other.

Great, brutal fight.

Benn - G-Man

Battle of the little giants - Salvador Sanchez v Wilfredo Gomez. The two Latin superstars of the 80's in a massive clash of legends, Puerto Rico v Mexico, everything on the line, and no one knew who was going to win.

Then to see a ring legend almost destroyed in the first round was such a shocker....he looked finished, but staged a brilliant fight back until the brutal end.

I'm a massive Salvador Sanchez fan; I think he may have been my favourite fighter had he not been tragically killed, probably before he even reach his prime. :(

Hunter - Pickering... By a long, winding country mile.

The Ali vs Norton 1 and 2 fights were classics that often get overshadowed by the Ali vs Frazier fights.... also Ali vs Shavers was a great fight...

Gotta be Benn v McClellan for me. I still watch it now and again and can't believe Benn won.

Yeah I was sure Gomez would win that one Terry, but I wasn't really aware, at the time, of how Sanchez had already stood up to the TNT bombs of Danny Little Red Lopez, which would have been a clue as to just how good his chin was. Big fan of both fighters.

Hearns blasting his way to the title against the fearsome Pipino Cuevas was a standout - the most electrifying KO I've ever seen, TH taking out a bonebreaking puncher in 2 rnds like he was diffusing a bomb.

Aaron Pryor / Alexis Arguello 1 - another 50/50 clash of legends, and the whole world of boxing was watching. A first round just as violent as Hagler/Hearns.

Holmes / Shavers 2nd fight, don't think I've seen anyone hit as hard as Larry Holmes was, and still get up off the floor.

yeah i think this is my favouite as well.

the pace and intensity of it was frightening.

those mexicans are the feistiest fighters in the world.

nobody does it like a mexican.

Yes Morales/MAB 1 was probably the best fight of the last...what, 10 years? Even better than Corrales/Castillo for me, just because the build up was much bigger, and then the fight more than lived up to all the hype.

Morales - Barrera 1 for 12 round action.

Holyfield - Tyson 1 for the awe of watching Holy take him apart after having been written off.

Benn - McClellan for sheer courage and excitement.

Ali - Foreman for the event and the stunning nature of the upset victory.
