Why did Buncey and the Setanta crew on Saturday seem to think Klitschko Is damaged goods?

Sure he's adopted an excessive holding style a bit like Ruiz used to do until he fought Valuev and quite cautious but not seen nothing to suggest he Is damaged goods yet.

He did strangely hold against Byrd too much though and Byrd can't crack.

Povetkin could be rushed too soon and could get seriously damaged against Klit's piston straights.

From what I've seen of Povetkin he's mostly agressive with a good workrate, Klit could spoil that with his holding.

Povetkin is very good but so far he hasnt been in against tall punchers with a good straight right hand.
He will have problems against Wlad, as he needs combinations and punch volume to outhusle his opponents and cause them to give up.
Wlad on the other hand, only needs 1 punch to end it, and he has deadly accuracy. I have observed Povetkin and as good as he is now, he does not have the necessary head movement to bob and weave on Wlad's punches.

Although Klitschko does hold on when close I don't think he is great at tying people up, also he doesn't work at all at close range and has no uppercut. If Povetkin can get past his jab and right cross often enough then I think he has a superb chance to beat Wlad. If his chin is decent and he does avoid the big shots on the way in then I think he clubs a cream crackered Klitschko to the canvas in about 8 rounds.

I just hope he beats Chambers this weekend and we get to see it. Back to your original question, Wlad has always shown to be a bit fragile but I certainly wouldn't call him damaged goods

I agree he Is fragile but he's hardly been beaten up to be damaged goods. He lost to guys and was stopped In all but except for Sanders, he was winning those fights until then.

do you realy listen to bunce and friends? I mean on the mitchell show Bunce said Chagaev was an ATG.

If ever there was someone who loved the sound of their own voice it's Bunce.I often have to turn over when he's babbling on.

bunce is a complete pillock, he gets way too excited but he's must see tv, i think one day he may just literally explode live on air

That's pretty spot on Max. The Yanks have always been mindful of Wlad because he was so hyped up and then lost to both Sanders and Brewster within a year, and suddenly he had a glass chin and was sht.

It wasn't until the Peter fight that he started to gain some respect.

He is certainly not damaged goods, but against a decent puncher he is always gonna be one punch away from defeat....

he is fragile but is the best of a bad bunch, and with his gold medal amateur pedigree (134-6 (65)) he certainly knows his way round the ring. take a look at wlads record on boxrec, he has had soem decent victories against guys who are still a noise on the heavyweight scene.

Big dangerous fella but seriously flawed and fragile. Got a feeling Chagaev too tough and knows too much for him.

Wlad has definitely picked the weakest opponent in Ibragimov, similar to when he elected for a rematch with Byrd rather than a rematch with Brewster. Its an recurring theme.

Bragimov will get destroyed.

He was nervous against Holyfield and all Holy was plow forward with barely any shots.

Bunce for all his enthusiasm doesn't have a clue what he is talking about most of the time.
