...these boxers? Maybe some of them were wrestlers, but I'm not definitely sure.

-> probably South African or Hungarian

And does anybody have picures of:

- Nick Van Rensburg (South Africa, boxer in the late 40s)
- Joseph Szucs (South Africa or Hungary)
- William "Bo" James
and
- Johan Naude (South Africa)

Thanks a lot!

I'm pretty darn sure that's another pic of Jake...from down at Ace Hardware.

You've been looking for him since early 05! Still searching? Must owe you a bundle!

The second pic is from the movie "Aces High" (1968). It's not Ken Norton. The boxer might be some years older. But he is in a boxing scene and he's much heavier than Ken Norton, I think. :) A real bull.

The other pic is from the movie "I'm for the hippopotamus" (1979), that also co-starred boxers Joe Bugner, Mike Schutte, Kosie Smith and wrestler Malcolm Kirk.
Nick Van Rensburg, Joseph Szucs and Johan Naude (-> listed in first posting) are credited in this movie to.

You could go to IMDB.com and look at the movie casts.

Yeah. :) But in this case I'm researching FOR a database.

It's difficult to identify some supporting actors, but often they give very interesting performances, especially sportlers impress sometimes in movie roles. And so did this boxers and wrestlers here, too. Mike Schutte and Malcolm Kirk for example were really good in making fun of their own images in "I'm for the hippopotamus".

And the guy from "Aces High" was cast for what he looked like in this western: a type of boxer, that was an attraction on fairs. A kind of hulk. So that's why I'm interested in finding out who he is, because movies of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are a hobby of mine and some friends and this guy was one of them, who gave the movies of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill the right cut. And one of only a few, that almost knocked out Bud Spencers movie character. :D

His name would have to show up in the movie credits. It may be hard to sort out who's who but that would be your best bet for starters.

He is definitely not in the credits.
It's an italian movie and that's the only problem. Credits in italian movies of the 60s and 70s are very thin. Unfortunately you can't compare it with an american or british movie with good and clear credits.
Some credits on "Aces High" at imdb have already been added by me, but this boxer is an actor I couldn't identify 'til now. Maybe some day somebody can solve the riddle... :)

I believe the other guy might be easier...

Does somebody know a forum for wrestling like this?
