I had to chuckle at Brendan Ingle on Sky after the Adnan Amar fight

He said he was used to Hatton ducking and diving to avoid Witter - now he feared Matthew Hatton would do the same for his English title clash with Amar.

IMO Matthew Hatton is a good fighter at that level and would surely take the fight

All Adnan ever talks about when I have spoken to him in the last couple of months is fighting Matthew Hatton. He was talking about it as soon as he won the Midland Area title in November, talked about in the run-up to his last fight and talked about it afterwards.

Adnan reckons Hatton wouldn't land a punch on him if he didn't want him to. It’s a 50-50 fight for me.

When the best name on your record is a guy in his late 30s, with losses in double figures - and you didn't actually beat him - then that highlights your limitations.

No disrespect to Alan, who was a tough, honest and always entertaining pro. Matthew, too, apparently knows his level and I don't begrudge him his Vegas jaunts. But his stats are grossly inflated. He has the second-most padded record in Britain.

Matthew Hatton is a solid pro, has some potential to reach a level, perhaps one step up from where he is.

I thnk he's shown demonstrable improvement but remains a British title prospect at best.

Would he be a prohibitive underdog with the likes of Michael Jennings or Kevin Anderson?

I wouldn't believe so.

Agree with you, Dave. Still, the record is blown-up. You could carve 10-15 wins off it to make it look more realistic.

im sure jennings et al would start as favourite against matthew

i don't know why but Adnan Amar Reminds me of Rocky Balboa (in Rocky 1/2),

I dont't know why.. i think its because he is a SouthPaw and Usually Lowers his stance from time to time in the Fight..

You'd think, given his connections, Matthew might have possibly considered thinking about maybe making some sort of move towards someone who might be more than a journeyman at some point in his THIRTY SEVEN fights?

The sooner he gets a competative, British domestic scrap the better- Amar, yeah, that would be good.

I think Matthew's a good fighter, a fight with Ali wouldve been nice, he'd also be in cracking contests with Anderson et al.

Matthew was on Seconds Out a few weeks ago saying how Kell Brook has been pushed infront of him for the winner of Mcintyre-Anderson.

Saw a news artcile on adnan & ingle in a local paper at the barber's ;).. Is this guy a decent prospect? anyone seen him fight?

Hatton was never going to be made the mandatory. What is he on about?

I feel that Matthew has to step away from his brothers circus & cut his own route. After37 fights he should have at least fought for the British Title
These International & interim plastic belts don't mean jack shit ,ok so he lost to Bosworth in an eliminator for the title it's not the end of the world get back in there.

Mathew should just take on Adnan Amar...

I mean he is hardly World Class Material is he.... sooner or later he has to step up and fight a decent opponent,

Padded is an understatement his level of competition for someone with 37 fights is laughable. 33 wins and only a couple of Central area title wins to his credit on the domestic front.

He said hes fought better opponents then Kell and won the IBF title and Kell's never done more then 8 rounds where he has.
