Good to hear he is getting back on the straight and narrow remains to be seen if he can stay on it! It's a bit worrying that he seems to be under the impression it's the medias fault he can't box at the moment. He needs to realise it's his own fault and nobody elses. He's the one who created the newsworthy stories at the end of the day.

Yeah he doesn't sound particularly remorseful to me. I suspect we haven't heard the last of Harrison getting himself in bother.

Hope he does turn it round though and comes back....

Really pleased Scott has sorted himself out, looking forward to seeing him back in action. I don't see the BBBC keeping his license. Hopefully Scott an AA can remain at the same weight for a whil, so they can get that fight on.

He needs to get his licence back first, and has a court hearing on February 11th coming up first. So he may not even get licenced depending on how that court case goes. He's got to be pretty close to getting banged up at this point with his form.

I for one believe Scott when he claims to not have consumed alcohol in a long time & I think it's clear he has got the desire to box back again. I for one hope that if he gets his license back, he doesn't ruin it all by going back to his old ways, because he won't be given another chance. I hope he realises this!

I love to see Harrison in training, especially running up Ben Nevis with a 40lbs rucksack on his back. No denying that he's one of the fittest fighters out there. I hope it all comes good for him, because despite his troubles with the law, I reckon he's a decent guy.

After what he's been through, if he wins another world title, that would be an achievement in itself.

I thought Harrison was not being trained by his father now? Have they reunited?

Yeah his back to basics approach always reminds me of Rocky (IV I think) training in the mountains (DRAGOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!). A proper old school approach

Scott can train like a demon whens hes fight and in full training the guy is like a machine, my friend sparred with him says he was so strong and fit like a man possesed, but i guess its these attributes that got him to world title.

Hopefully this lay-off won't have had too much of a detrimental affect on his stamina, because as you say it was one of his main assets.

I was leafing through my old boxing monthly copies and I read a preview on the Harrison - Guzman fight that was scheduled(Harrison would later pull out of course). Hard to belive now but Harrison was actually the favourite going in - the writer actually picked Harrison to ko Guzman in about 8rnds! Funny how times change.....

He must have been off his tits, I like Scott Harrison but Guzman is an exceptional fighter P4P top 5 IMO (in terms of ability)

Yeah it sounds absurd now but you have to remember Guzman was still a bit of an unknown quantity at that point - coming off a points win over Tersang he was thought to be a wild banger - not the slick boxer-puncher type we know today!

My timelines may be abit out, but I remember discussing the fight when it was scheduled and I don't recall many giving Scott a chance. It was a brave pick from BM even at the time (not as brave as it would be now)

Guzman would have torn the best of Harrison a new one, never mind the tanked up version of the time!
