Seems like Johnny Tapia will be fighting again, signed to a fight probably in early March.

I know it has been ironically said that whilst he is fighting, he will be more stable - but he was very shot in his last comeback from near death. I just hope they don't match him too hard.

The problem is that could actually happen, OH DEAR!

When I read his book I was amazed he achieved what he did off his face on skag.

Imagine how good he would've been if he stayed off it!

Its a shame I like Tapia but this will not end well for him. There is that part of my head saying Tapia Mayorga but realy no.

As Stu said I just hope he isn't matched too aggressively, tbh its a multi-miracle the bloke's still alive.

He's been through sonme awful things in his life, but also he's ruined a few peoples lives along the way.

personally i don't care about his comeback.

Tapia will have a few comeback fights, win an easy one or two then get beaten up by someone he would have blitzed in his prime and next be found in another hotel room near death and full of Class A.

It's all sadly predictable.

I still find it hard to like Tapia, just have never taken to him .
As a boxer i have huge respect for what he did in the ring, but i find it hard to find respect when he keeps destroying what he has outside of the boxing ring.
Obviously i've never been through the things he has, so who am i to say anything.

But have to be honest, he sounds a pain in the ass.

Very judgemental. I'm sure Tapia doesn't want to ruin his own life. He's obviously out of control.

People like Tapia/George Best/Benny Lynch are more to be pitied than reviled. Despite all their talents, they lead horrific lives.

Cannock and the surrounding areas are riddled with the filth. I've lost count of how many times some dirty vile stinking baghead has asked me for 9p in Cannock town center, so he can supposedly scrape together the bus fare to visit his sick Mom at Stafford hospital (they've got more chance of winning Mr Universe than getting 1p off me).

As much as I hate them and their ways the government don't help the situation one iota, these people are very very desperate when they're clucking and they're going to get money for their smack one way or another, the government should get them registered and give them the smack to save them mugging my Nan, robbing my car stereo, shoplifting and unnecessarily taking up police time etcetra etcetra etcetra. I used to live in one of the roughest parts of Chadsmoor as a kid (1984-90), we owned a shop just off the infamous Benion Road (supposedly the first street in Britain to have CCTV). I moved to Chadsma aged 8 from a quiet little cul-de-sac WHAT A FECKING EYE-OPENER THAT WAS!! I'd never had a fight b4 I moved there then I must have averaged 3 a week for 6 years, but what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger.

Yeah i understand that, and in my job i do alot of work with people who have problems.
but sometimes you have to have tough love , its being judgemental. Every person deserves the chance of help, but it can only go so far. the person themselves has to look at some point and take responsibility.

been a busy day at work, and i'm kind of had enough.
No doubt tomorrow i'll be saying something different about it.
Some days i hear sob stories all day long.

I think he died twice and was resussitated. Wasnt he shot once (by gun I mean).

I dont know of anyone Tapia has ever hurt with his behaviour?!!.... he's never assualted anyone or done anything like that (unlike Scott Harrison). In fact a few years back he singlehandedly fought off a gang who were attacking someone. The main person Johnny has hurt has been himself and anyone who knows his background would need a heart of stone imo not to understand the demons that persue him... he's seen things and experienced things that noone should have to endure....

True, but she always knew what she was getting into. What I'm saying is that he doesnt go round starting fights with people and things like that... from what I've heard he's actually one of the sweetest guys you could meet....
