Not sure what this St Clair's form is like recently but if he was good enough to stand with Corrales could Khan be heading into trouble?

I just can't get the Limond fight and how he got clocked out of my head. Against Earl it was a case of Khan catching him cold.

Has St Clair got enough left in the tank to give Khan a real test?

I heard from a reliable source who lives in Miami, USA, that St.Clair has not been looking good at all & is way past it!

In the Daily Mail this week (cannot remember what day it was) Jeff Powell stated how powerful St. Clair was & that he was renowned for punching above his weight & KNOCKING OUT HW's in the gym!

St.Clair is a SFW, Khan is a big LW. Khan should & will win.

its a nice name for his CV, very tasty on paper, but if it aint for a title, FW isnt going to serve up a losable fight is he... think we all know that. its business. even boxingchat knows that.

hopefully GSC will go the 12, and we see a good row....

I think 12 rounds with a massivly able fighter will be realy good for Khan and he'll learn a hell of a lot so I hope thats the case aswell. Infact idealy I'd like to see him KO St Clair in the 11th to show he's strong throught the fight.

It won't go 10. I'm seeing Khan between 2 and 6. St. Clair's not going to get close enough.

He won't get KO'd either of course; hey-ho, it's another early intervention from the ref.

I think st clair is one of those freakishly tough fighters with a chin that never diminishes. I really hope he has retained his toughness because if he can hang with khan and land shots on him, who the hell knows what could happen to the porous fragile one?

Of course the more I think about it the more I see an excited ref jump in after a mid round flurry from khan with st clair not in the least hurt, like most are predicting...

its going to be a Close one i reckon....

Khan is the favorite... but i would not write off St. Clair with his histroy and experience..

someone who has never been Knocked Down is always a dodgy opponent..

I agree it will look close for a while, but two questions spring to mind:
1. How will St Clair get to Khan?
2. How will he hurt him?

Khan has a massive reach advantage, and decent skills. Unless he gets way lazier than he did against Limond, I can't see St Clair getting near enough to test his chin at all!

How the fornicate would a source in the US know anything about StClair, The man lives and trains in Australia and was world champ 18 months ago. He is small for a 130 pounder so he will be way to small at 135.

Looking over St Claire's record after the fight was announced i was optamistic about his chances.

However, i then see that most bookies have him priced up around 8 or 9/1 against! (and thats after factoring Khans dodgy chin into the equation!!!) When bookmakers offer such wide odds you can be 98% sure that the boxer in question's chances of winning are slim to none, and that slims already left the building.

Like others have pointed out, St Claire would not be here if he had any real chance of pulling of the upset. Khan is 'potentially' Warren's next big cash cow and old Fwank has'nt even begun yet to start the serious milking.

When I first heard this fight announced, I immediately suspected that St. Clair was shot, or at least looking very poor in the gym.

There's no element of criticism in this, the guy is a late replacement, and it's the matchmakers art to serve up names which make a fighter's resume look good without too much concomitant risk. It would be surprising if St Clair were brought in as a replacement if he was in decent form as that is a serious risk for a young prospect, especially as a late sub.

Of course, this may all be cynicism on my part, but I suspect that St Clair is probably looking a bit ropey on the night, and that he gets taken apart inside of six rounds with the referee stopping it because he is taking too many shots without reply.

that's only a tale spun by St Clair's trainer, that he beat up a heavyweight in the gym. The heavyweight might have been the worst heavyweight in the world. Could have been an out of shape journeyman or anything. Yep, the papers are crap.

I think St Clair could easily beat Istvan Kecskes, for example.
