Setanta is going to shake the shit out of Australia's Main Event ppv, which usually charges 40-50 bucks per show.
Foxtel (cable) & Austar (satellite) subscribers are now able to get the shows for $15 per month
Main Event is available thru above mentioned plus Optus which is cable
http://www.mainevent.com.au/homepage.asp
BTW, OZ Friday Nite Fite Night (about 20 per year) are FOC on Foxtel, Austar & Optus

Haven't seen any news on whether UK TV is picking up Witter v Hopkins / Casamayor v Katsidis
Anyone know?
Sky show lots of Hennesey promotions obviously but not sure how involved in this Hennesey is. Is it a GBP promotion?

Don't be so quick to praise Setanta for securing the rights to show so many bouts. If you are a Setanta subscriber via Freeview, the if the bout is shown at 3AM or later, you (and me) won't be able to view shit!
Absolute fcuking rollocks that they have this policy & I don't think it's going to change anytime soon.
S if you have Freeview, it's not all that it's cracked up to be!

Why do they turn it off at 3AM? Is it to save money?

Setanta via Freeview reckon they haven't got the required license to broadcast after 3AM. This may be the case, but you would think they would have rectified this by now!
They say "oh, you can see the repeats", but I want to see fights LIVE, not repeats, it's just not the same.
I think it's a case of Freeview organisation not wanting to part with the £ for the cost of the license.

Does anyone else find it strange that they've picked up the Mexican bill on 9th Feb? Theres no big names fighting (some might say JCC jr is) and only one world title figtht at light fly.
Even more so since on the same night Paul Williams is fighting, with Berto and Arreola on the undercard

I cancelled Sky sports a few weeks back.
Well I was going to say March 8th is looking a hell of a night, but Setanta have gone and dropped the Maskaev/Peters broadcast from that night - and have spent the cash on Woods/Tarver instead, they say.
A real shame, I was looking forward to an unpredictable bombs aways heavyweight punchup - much rather see this than another predictable Woods 12 rounder.
Still it's a good line up, but they shouldn't be wasting money on Chavez jr.

They've shown Chavez Jnr before I think and I would think this bill is cheaper for them to get than the Williams bill

It was on the Setanta schedule:

But has now gone.
SKY haven't bid for Cotto v Gomez yet.
I wouldn't bet against them showing Peter v Maskaev though. They're willing to bid for HW US fights.
They also have Williams v Quintana.
