Looking forard to this rematch. These guys don't hang around. An awesome encounter last year and both cant wait to get it on again.

Any predictions guys? Pavlik's superior power should see him earn a late stoppage victory.

I've got a sneaky feeling that Pavlik is going to stop Taylor in the first two rounds.

Pavlik late KO. Think the higher weight will suit Pavlik as much as Taylor, if not more so.

I'll go for Taylor on points.

I think he was responding a bit to the criticism of his previous fights being dull by opening up a bit and trying to put Pavlik away - then gassed and got caught.

This time I think he will play safety first and win a wide decision.

But clearly Pavlik has the pop to destroy him so I'm not putting any money on it.

In the prediction league I voted Pavlik KO 8, and I'm still thinking that's a good guess. I don't think Taylor has it in him to beat Pavlik. He has the potential to, but I don't think he has the smarts to reach his potential.

Hard to come up with many examples of a big time fighter reversing a KO loss - Zale/Graziano & Patterson/Johansson always spring to mind. And Carbajal / Gonzalez more recently. Very rare though.

But I've got a feeling Taylor might be good enough, and mentaly strong enough, to turn things around here. I was never much of a fan of Taylor's, but he impressed me more in his defeat than he'd ever managed in victory. That was a helluva punch that took him out.

I think he might turn on the style here and stop Pavlik midway.

I'm going to check the odds, but I imagine they'll be close, with Pavlik a slight fav.

Lennox Lewis did it twice.

I predicted Pavlik KO 6 last time, this time I'm going wtih Taylor KO 4 or 5.
I haven't decided yet.

Said all along I fancy Taylor for the rematch at 166.

Pavlik has the psychological advantage with the way he got up and survived those big punches from Taylor.

Where as Taylor crumpled badly when he was hit with the same kind of power from Pavlik.

Taylor has the boxing ability to trouble Pavlik, but I think Pavlik will have wised up to the looping rights that Taylor throws and should edge his way to victory again.

I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Taylor win but Kelly's punching power is going to be the difference for me - it only takes a few decent shots and Taylor's on funny street as proved in the first fight. It's going to be a cracker though.

Rewatching the fight, Taylor backed straight up and dropped his hands every time he took a long right. Not sure he knows what to do in a rough and nasty situation. Maybe he could have done with Steward on the principle of fight tall, tie up. It just seems that Pavlik is the more natural fighter and will have enough to win again, especially up at 166-lbs.

The dynamite finish by Pavlik last time out has many forgetting what deep trouble the Youngstown native was in during the early part of the fight, the second round in particular if my memory serves me - he was on the verge of getting stopped!

It wouldnt surprise me to see a reinvigourated Taylor gain revenge here, although I would rather see Pavlik come through as I prefer his style and the excitement that his fights generate.

I backed Pavlik to win first time around, and I'm not changing for the rematch. I don't think the weight increase is a big deal. Taylor may well feel more comfortable at 166, but I'm sure Pavlik will as well.

Taylor probably feels he's the better boxer, and should have won the first fight. And he'd be right on both counts. He'll be the better boxer this time around as well. But I just don't think he has the instincts of a fighter, despite his obvious athletic gifts. I also think the KO last time out will be in the minds of both fighters, Pavlik knowing he can end it if he lands, Taylor possibly wary of opening up as much as he did last time. I think we'll see the return of the cautious Jermain, or at least less of the attack minded guy that nearly finished Pavlik in that second round.

Pavlik in 9, if I had to bet. Just think we've seen the best of Taylor, not so with Pavlik.

Should be another great fight, could go either way IMO, but I'll plump for a Taylor UD

Very interesting rematch, the new higher weight makes this even more intreaging.

I'm going to go for Taylor by KO or points. It is sure to be a close fight but i feel Taylor is the bigger, stronger, more skilled fighter over all. I also believe that he will be better mentally prepared this time around.

I really don't think Taylor is stronger.

I don't think Taylor can sustain 12 rounds of good boxing. He can probably make Pavlik look silly at times, but I'm pretty sure Pavlik will hunt him down.

Who knows, if Taylor has been badly affected by the 1st fight, he could get KO'd early. Good that he's willing to find out.

I go for Taylor this time around, either late stoppage or points.

Of course, how could I forget. Though I'd only call the Rahman fight similar - as in going straight back in with the guy who's just KO'd you, with no warm ups.
McCall had since lost and slid closer to meltdown by the time Lewis got the rematch.

Plus Rahman and McCall were seen as being a bit on the lucky side in beating a complacent Lewis, and LL was favorite in the rematches.

Pavlic isn't seen as being lucky at all, he's unbeaten and now generaly seen as the better fighter.

But I don't think Taylor is finished just yet - Taylor KO7

I think Taylor's only doing this for the big payday. Wouldn't be surprised if he retired after this, as his heart doesn't seem to be in boxing. Kelly in 5.

i favoured pavlik first time around.

and i'm gonna go with pavlik again.

taylor will be in there pitching though.
