What a mess, hopefully something can be resolved

Doesn't sound good does it. He looks far more interested in other fighters, if you had an offer to fight the WBC champ on the table you wouldn't be talking about Torres, Malignaggi, Holt or even an eliminator if you were confident of winning.

What other fighter does golden boy have who could step in? Lazcano?

Only in boxing!!! How can Hopkins' ex-lawyer claim that Demetrius had accepted the monetary terms when he hadn't even seen them. He needs a good fcuking shooing.....bring on Lazcano

FOR F*CKS SAKE. i was so looking forward to this one. I really hate this sport sometimes. perfect, now witter has missed ANOTHER chance and won't ever get a big fight again, i bet.

Let Ricky have a fight then they can fight in October - Witter can have a tune up!

Was it ever on? Who smells more BS?

Not convinced it was BS. Why do you say that?

It's not like Hopkins is a megastar, it was a modest fight to get Junior some exposure.

Poor old Junior just cannot catch a break can he?

Keep training Junior, I think this is a ploy to discourage you.

Witter just cannot catch a break, can he? Witter-Lynes 2, anyone? I actually wouldn't mind seeing it, if Witter can't find anything bigger.

He should ideally call Ngoudjo or Urango. Hard fights but statement fights and Junior may look good against them. If he wins more emphatically than Hatton/Malignaggi it puts his name up there

They should drop Hopkins from the Rankings AND ANY FIGHTER who turns down a World Title Fight. Shameful!

Call out Zab at Catchweight if need be?

Zabs fighting Mosley and no one wants Zab-Witter 2 anyway. Plus you cant get a top level guy on 6 weeks notice. Urango and Ngoudjo are in no mans land so thats a possibility. Both are known in the US too

Hopefully DHOPs is only holding out for more money

BTW Hatton withdrew from a couple of world title fights himself

I would watch Witter Vs Zab 2!

That is a bit harsh, Junior turned one with Cotto down and it would have been extreme to drop his WBC ranking based on that :TU:
On 7 Days notice, lets see Hatton/Mayweather/Williams fight Cotto on 7 days notice, no didnt think so. Witter should have taken that fight though because Cotto was drained and would have got sparked

I mean IF THEY AGREE then back out later OR if they terms are right - timeframe etc!

Not 7 days!

Gutting news.

As that was due to be a Mandatory defence tho (it was wasnt it?) wont the WBC decide on a new Mandatory?

Don't come crying to me when backsliding gives you carpet burns on yer arse! :TU:

Look at how Torres did on the night, Witter must have been kicking himself. I can see his reasoning though.

Don't think it was a mandatory. I think Castillo and Timothy Bradley are meeting to decide the mandatory position.

Was it Torres and not Corley?

It was definitely Torres who took the short-notice job. I remember people saying what a mismatch it was, but Torres launched himself into the big(ish) league with that performance.
