Clinton Woods - what a guy. He's the real 'down to earth' British boxer.

Boxing News this week, Tarver was very, very upset that a taxi picked him up and not a limousine.

Tarver's promoter said:-

'We'll provide Woods with a limousine when he comes to Tampa, we'll show you class'

'I'm alright with a taxi' replied Clinton

The guys fantastic. Clinton, David Haye and Enzo Macarenelli are the good guys of British boxing.

Couldn't agree more. I desperately hope that Clinton batters Tarver - the classic decent down-to-earth Brit versus the arrogant, dispresectful Yank.

This fight could really make Clinton's name. Tarver is such a vile personality. Had to laugh when I read BN. Tarver: "I'm as pretty as a girl (or something like that). Woods: "Who told you that?"

Tarver has long arms and being a southpaw could be hard to get to early. But Woods is composed and can grind a man down Tarver is weak late in fights. If all goes well, Woods could really boost his fan base.

To use another well known turn of phrase "no shit sherlok" As long as Clinton turnes up in good form then he should win this one I'm excited for the guy he's good for british boxing cos it shows anyone with a good work ethic can do it.

jesus, tarver is just trying to sell the fight. Don't you guys know boxing by now?

Woods should be able to out work Tarver at this stage but it would be nice to see him get the job done with a convincing stoppage.

Is Tarver really as arrogant and deluded as the press-conference suggests or is he just playing to the audience?

exactly. i think woods wins this fight. too much pressure from woods and that's how you beat tarver. tarver has a big mouth. he seems to forget he's not the champ anymore but i do understand that he's trying to sell the fight. he's better at selling than actually fighting now.

As long as he doesn't get KO'd you'd think Woods could outwork Tarver who has next to no stamina.

Tarver has a head like a gobstopper. If he were that vain he'd have toned up his podgy stomach for Rocky VI..

Woods will outwork him and maybe even stop him late, Tarver is doing this purely for cash.
