Ottke-Michalczewski is on!
from Fightnews.

Undefeated longtime former super middleweight champion Sven Ottke confirmed on Monday that his comeback bout against Dariusz Michalczewski is on for May 24th in Hannover, Germany. A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow to officially announce the bout, which will be billed as "It's Never Too Late." Ottke has stepped in for Graciano Rocchigiani, who was originally slated to face Michalczewski, but could not reach final terms. Promoter Jakub Andreas Grajewski has not yet finalized a TV deal for the fight, which is estimated to attract ten million viewers.

Jesus Christ, spare us this......please.

Jeeze. I'm normally not one to label boxers as boring but I have no alternative with Ottke!... I'm sure that just about every round of his career was the same!... the guy was effective in his way, but so godawfully boring!.... he made Johnny Nelson look like Saad Muhammad....
I think he should retire again to spare us all the unnecesarry punishment!... :x :x :x :x :x

boring as hell, offensively inert but defensively quite astute. that is ottke in a nutshell.

Ottke might be boring, but Michaelswecki wasn't.

I've defended Ottke here in the past, most of his fights were dull as dishwater - one or two exceptions. I liked the Mitchell fight and I thought against Kranjc and Gatti at least he seemed to go for it offensively.

If there is no boxing scheduled that weekend then of course I would like Setanta/Sky to pick it up. Its better than nothing.

As amateur Ottke actually knocked out Michalczewski (not stopped on points or anything liek that it was a clean KO)

Calzaghe's final fight, assuming both win?

Could sell it as "Unfinished business"

I was sat next to Scott at the Hatton v Mayweather fight. Seems like a nice bloke.

I want his property portfolio!

yep and Michalczewski could then face off against Roy Jones to determine who was the best light heavy of the '90s.
