Does anyone have any info on this fighter, he has a fight scheduled with Matthew Edmonds (the man that gave Booth a tough fight at the Wigan Bill in December) on the 25th February????
Anyone seen him fight? Or do you know his amatuer record?

I've seen all but one of Dougie's pro fights and he is an exciting prospect. He is big and strong at super-bantamweight and can hit harder than his record suggests. The Pat Cowdell-trained Coventry prospect has a good future.
As for his amateur days, he fought for young England and got to the ABA semi-final with Willenhall ABC. He took some time off after his unpaid days and made his pro debut in spring 2006, drawing with much bigger Dezzi Higginson - now the British Masters champion at
light-welterweight.
The fight is now off, by the way, as Dougie sustained an injury. Walsall's Martin Gethin takes his place. Pat said he is looking to get the fight on his May 12 bill at the Burlington.

Thanks for the Info guys.
Martin Gethin seems to have a good record from what I can find out about him. But he seems to fight at lightweight. Is he a natural lightweight? Will he struggle to make the weight? If he does, do you think he will be too drained making the weight?
What are you comments on Edmonds? Did you see his fight against Booth? Do you think he can reach British Title Level?

Martin won't be fighting Edmonds, who is off the bill, obviously. Martin is fighting a hard-hitting welterweight in the main event over six-threes. Gethin, once more, showing he is always ready and able to fight at the drop of a hat.
Cowdell is looking at putting Walton-Edmonds on his next bill at the Burlington Hotel on May 12. Dougie will be too big and too strong for Edmonds should they meet – though he did give Jason Booth a decent fight.
